Perdue Peek

I love my job, one of the best parts of my job is meeting new people, yet the other side of that coin is reconnecting with old friends. Miklyn and I grew up together and spend most of our teenage years connected at the hip and or phone. We went our different ways for college and thanks to the technology of facebook and we reconnected. It was my pleasure to capture Miklyn and her new family at their home. They live on a great farm property outside St. Paul, OR. The country out there is so beautiful and scenic.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Such a beautiful family right.

I love me some rustic old barns so when I saw this one on the property I knew we had to use it.

Maicey is so darling!

Those eye lashes are killer right.

She made me work for the smiles, but they were all worth it.

Miklyn, thanks again for having me out to meet your little princess. She so darling, but I have to admit, seeing you be the wonderful mama you were always meant to be was the best part for me. Who knew a million years ago when we talked about our future kids they would turn out so cute! Thank goodness for facebook and small towns reconnecting us! I will have the whole gallery up soon, I hope you liked the peek.

Liam the king of cute

While I always love meeting new people, one of the other  best parts of my job is being able to capture special times in friends & loved ones lives. I have know Jaime for a long, long time. It was my honor to capture her wedding not too long ago, then her beautiful belly, then visit her in the hospital when a certain little one arrived. Well of course Mr. Liam the king of cute got his own special photo session. Gah I love the newborns, even if the make me work for it. All of the shushing and rocking paid off, I am really pleased with the photos we came out with.

Here are a few of my favorites:

such a beautiful boy!

those little feet get me every time.

Such an alert boy for only 1 week old too.

His beautiful mama.

Such a smoochable face too.

🙂

I love the way Will talks to him too, you can tell these two are going to be close.

The whole family.

Clearly there is no shortage of love here.

Liam welcome to the world, I can not wait to see you grow up. Pretty soon I am sure you and my Giffin will be wrestling and running around the house. I can’t wait!

Wonderful Wellington

Good morning blog readers! Is there any better way to start your day than with a cute little baby? Yeah I think not. You might remember precious Wellington from my post about my experience with Birth Photography here and here. You might also know his super sweet and talented parents. For real, they are two of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Well little Mr. Welly is just as sweet and adorable. I had the pleasure of doing some newborn photos for the family and am finaly getting around to sharing them.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Welly is just so perfect in every way.

I might have gotten him this hat for a baby shower gift, it was too cute to pass up!

Ahh baby smiles, there is nothing better.

Brian and Leah love orange and bright colors so I picked up this super soft blanket just to use with Welly. Clearly he liked it too.

We also used a piece of Leah’s Grandma’s quilt. it was so pretty.

The bond between mother and child is always my favorite to capture.

🙂 The whole family. And this one is probably my favorite of the 3 of them. Such love here.

Bryan & Leah thanks again for letting me come play with Welly, he really is perfection. I can not wait to see our boys grow up together and I am sure start playing soon!

Erica + Mike + Banks!

You may remember a certain little squishy faced baby last year, well baby Banks is having his first birthday! He is such an adorable big boy, I can not believe it was just last year we were doing his first session! Banks being one is not the only reason to celebrate, there is also a very important wedding of a certain Mommy & Daddy coming up next month! So to celebrate all the big events and joy going around we arranged another session this time outside in the beautiful fall weather. Erica & Mike were great sports tromping through the weeds and bugs with me. We had a great time, and Banks ran his little tush off. Here are a few of my favorites from our first year/family/engagement session.

Check out the big birthday boy!

The whole lovely family, smiles all around. 🙂

Erica and Mike are pretty adorable just on their own.

Banks is even cuter these days, who knew that was possible.

We had fun running around can you tell.

I can not wait to shoot their wedding next month!

I just know it is going to be a super fun event.

And one last shot of the star of the show. Gah that smile kills me!

Erica & Mike thanks for joining me out on the trail, and for the Latte! You guys are the best. I am so looking forward to your wedding next month! Of course I know how you love the blog challenges. If you can get 30 comments on the blog I will throw in your choice of an 11×14 or another set of wallet brag books. 🙂 So leave some love people.

One is fun!

I love working with family’s, especially when they are adorable and up for anything. It is also especially fun when I get to shoot around my own home town. The G family contacted me a few months back. Karen had seen my work up in a local coffee shop and wanted to schedule a session to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday. We lucked into a break in the rainy weather last weekend and had a great time shooting around town and their neighborhood. The whole family was lovely, but little Serena stole the show with her super sparkly eyes and delicious smile.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

See I told you they are adorable.

Miss Serena was so good for me, just look at those baby blues!

I always love a beautiful mama & baby shot.

They were champs for me sitting in a slightly soggy field.

After shooting around their neighborhood we ran down to the local University. Karen spent her undergrad years here so it was nice to visit the place and use some of the lovely spots as a back drop.

Serena is clearly excited about fall too!

She is pure adorableness!

Cheese ball of cuteness!

Little miss is such a character! And one last shot of the whole family. Karen thanks for braving the weather and coming out to meet me. I had a great time with your whole family! I hope you all had a lovely birthday weekend, and Serena got some more cake! I will have the whole set for you very soon! For now lets get going on a blog challenge shall we? If you can get 25 people to comment on this post there is a free mini wallet brag book in it for you on the house. So leave some love people.
