Ruby Roo, how I adore you

You might remember miss Ruby from her darling newborn photos this winter. Well the lovely miss Ruby is back, and her cute parents too. As part of my “Baby’s First Year” collection I get the chance to see baby Ruby get bigger and even more adorable this year! For real people, I have the best job ever. 🙂 We meet up at the beautiful Cathedral Park in North Portland for our 6 months session.  It was a beautiful warm morning, and Miss Ruby totally stole my heart with her smiles and wiggles.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Gah she is so cute!

Ruby loves her Mama & Daddy. Cathedral park is such a beautiful place to shoot, funny while we were there we ran into another photographer shooting a family! But, and I am bias, but my clients are way cuter. 🙂

Check out that smile, such a cutie!

Ruby digs airplane rides with Daddy can you tell?!

They are pretty funny together.

The whole family is great, again great job to Mary for coordinating everyones outfits! I love that orange sweater! Again did I mention I have the cutest clients, yeah I know.

🙂

Miss Ruby and her beautiful mama.

I think this one of the family is my favorite too. Check out the love here.

and one last one of the lovely Miss Ruby. Ahhh she is so sweet.

Mary & Chris thanks again for meeting up with me bright & early. I hope you like the peek. I will have the gallery up asap. And you know I love the blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this blog post there is another mini brag book in it for ya! So leave some love folks. 🙂

Super Xander is One!

As many of you remember I had the pleasure of doing a very special maternity session last year for one of Portland’s most loved radio personalities Miss Daria and her cute Husby Dallas. Well over the year, the bump became a darling baby, and now that baby is a whole year old! I have just loved watching him grow, little Xander is such a charmer. Well this past week we celebrated the little dude’s birthday with a photo session, he was hilarious. Talking and telling stories the whole time. We lucked out and grabbed a little sunshine before the rain storm hit. I think he was showing off a bit, but I totally ate it up. Between his big smile and killer eye lashes I know why his Mama & Dad are so in love with him. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorites so far from our session:

Like I said little Xander was telling stories and chatting the whole time.

No shock he has a big personality in this family, they are all so fun.

With Mama Daria, can you tell he loves him some mama.

And of course a few of father & son. Dallas and Xander are so sweet together.

Look who is starting to stand!

Such a sweet boy, look at those eyed they melt me.

Little X is not quite walking yet, but he has the squatting down.

Did I mention that the whole family is fun? Yep they are all fantastic.

this one might be my favorite of Mama & son, there is just no bond like it. I just loved seeing them together, such love.

And one last photo of out wonder boy. He is just so darn handsome!

Daria & Dallas thanks again for hanging out with me and trekking out in the rain. I just loved seeing your little man all big and talkative. He is such a sweet charmer! I hope you like the sneak peek. I will have the whole gallery for you very soon. And of course you know I love to throw down the comment challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this post a wallet brag book is in it for ya. So leave some love people, you know you want to.

back and even more beautiful!

A few years back I had the opportunity to work with one of the sweet and beautiful Rust family, I just loved our session and resulting images. Well to my delight the lovely Jen emailed me this spring to set up another family session. I have to admit I was excited to see how her adorable kiddos had grown, and they did not disappoint. Though most of the baby fat is gone, Mia & Tanner are just as cute as ever. I can not believe they are so big already! We had a great time spending a beautiful evening running around Cook park and making some great images.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

The entire family is just ridiculously good looking, and lovely to boot.

Oh and silly too! We must never forget the silly. 🙂

Keith and Jen are so cute together. 🙂

Miss Mia is a knock out, clearly having a beautiful mama helps. 🙂

check out those silly hansom boys.

gah, such a beautiful girl! It is almost too easy with her.

And Tan the man, such a charmer.

🙂

beautiful girl + beautiful light + happy photographer

oh that smile, such a cute little man!

he he he, they are after all siblings, this cracks me up.

and a few more of the whole family. Such sweet people.

and one last one of the sweet kiddos. Seriously, they make it almost too easy being that adorable.

Jen thanks for tracking me down and trekking out for another session. I just loved seeing all of you! You and Keith are wonderful, and your kiddos are the coolest. I hope you love the images so far, I have so many more to show you very soon! And of course I have to throw down the blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this post, you will get a lovely little wallet brag book to show off those cute kiddos and beautiful family. SO leave sone love people!

Katie & Maggie are Awesome!

Last fall & Winter I participated in the “Giving is Awesome” program again. I love this program, it gives me a chance to give back, and meet new people I would have never normally met. Well it was hard to choose, but the winnings went to a fantastic mother & daughter by the names of Katie & Maggie. After waiting for a certain photographer to have a baby & recover we settled on a spring day and hoped for the best weather wise. It was a little rainy, but Katie & Maggie were hardcore and went for it anyway! We had a great time stomping around the PSU campus and getting to know each other. These two area sweet, kind and incredibly funny. With Maggie’s devious smile and strawberry blond hair I felt right at home hanging out with them. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

yeah they are no fun at all I tell ya.

very serious all time time.

Miss Maggie may play tough, but she loves her mama something fierce.

Maggie has some seriously amazing sparkly brown eyes, and of course I am a sucker for freckles.

These two are just lovely together.

🙂

I am pretty sure Maggie was being a bunny here? I love Katie’s look, as a mom I know I have made that face many a time.

100% pure JOY from this one. I love these two photos, they really show what a hilarious little munchkin she is.

hello matching cheekbones.

We even got Miss Candyce into the photos for a moment. Candyce is a former professor of mine who nominated Katie & Maggie. She pretty much rocks. 🙂

And one last photo of our lovely Mother & Daughter team.

Katie & Maggie thanks again for braving the rain and running all over campus with me (and Candyce for tromping along too!. I had a great time with you guys! I hope you like your peek I will have the whole gallery done soon and then we go to work on the book!
