perfect house, perfect light, perfect family

I know I say it all the time, but I LOVE MY JOB.

Just last week I got to spend an evening in the beautiful Dundee hills meeting a lovely new family. Sent to me from a wonderful friend, I was excited to meet the Dixons and their beautiful new home. New houses are exciting right? The decorating possibilities, picking out paint, it is fun stuff.

When I arrived I got the warmest welcome, I had a great time meeting this super cute family of 4 and capturing this special time for them. šŸ™‚

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Meet Mr. L, the first to greet me and tell me ALL about the house and family. He might be the cutest little dude I have ever met.

Meet Miss G, stickling beautiful, tall, smart & witty. Girl is going to be a heart breaker for sure!

These two kill me, so lovely together!

Mr L was such a ham in front of the camera, and I ate it up. How can you not point a lens and this cute smile right.

Miss G also has a killer smile and some baby blues that are stunning.

Have I mentioned he was a ham?!

Another of the two kiddos together, this melts me, I hope my own boy & girl love each other this much.

They are adorable right, well they should be, mom owns one of McMinnvilleā€™s cutest boutiques.

Right at sunset we hit the street near their house to catch that yummy sunset light. I love that the whole family truly enjoys each other you can tell.

super boys!

You all remember some of the cutest boys in the world from last summer right? Well they are back again, older, bigger and possibly even cuter! I just adore these two. šŸ™‚

So, so many favorites from this session, here are just a few so far:

After being very good boys we broke out the very beloved Batman & Robin costumes, SO FUN!

blond curls & silly faces make me happy

It seems like just yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting this adorable familiesā€™ newborn session. Back then Bella was teeny tiny, Abby was still learning the words for ā€œbig sisterā€. Well the adorable sisters are back, and both SO BIG! The whole family met me last weekend for a very warm, but fun session in downtown Newberg. We had a good time catching up, talking about small towns, Hawaii and new siblings.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Big girl Bella! Such a sweet pea.

Bella loves big sister, I do believe she is watching Mama & Abby do the hula here.

And here is our beautiful big sister. Her big brown eyes are just killer!

She was playing shy with me, but I got the smiles.

Cute girls! The squishing/love reminds me of my little ones.

They also love their wagon, canā€™t wait till mine are big enough for wagon rides!

And of course the whole cute family.

Clearly there is no shortage of love in this family.

Bellaā€™s silly faces crack me up.

Abby is so darn cute!

Smiles, tickles, squishes, smooches, yep that is a family!

Thanks guys for joining me despite the hot weather, I had a great time seeing you all again. I can not believe how the girls have gown, they are just so adorable. Happy Birthday Redhead!

5 years ago today a sweet, sassy, loud, kind, ball of energy came into my life.

My life, my work and my world has forever been changed.

Miss Scarlett bear, thank you for making me a mommy, and thank you for making my world the wonderful place it is. I can never explain how amazing you are, and how much I love you.

Super Xander is One!

As many of you remember I had the pleasure of doing a very special maternity session last year for one of Portlandā€™s most loved radio personalities Miss Daria and her cute Husby Dallas. Well over the year, the bump became a darling baby, and now that baby is a whole year old! I have just loved watching him grow, little Xander is such a charmer. Well this past week we celebrated the little dudeā€™s birthday with a photo session, he was hilarious. Talking and telling stories the whole time. We lucked out and grabbed a little sunshine before the rain storm hit. I think he was showing off a bit, but I totally ate it up. Between his big smile and killer eye lashes I know why his Mama & Dad are so in love with him. šŸ™‚

Here are a few of my favorites so far from our session:

Like I said little Xander was telling stories and chatting the whole time.

No shock he has a big personality in this family, they are all so fun.

With Mama Daria, can you tell he loves him some mama.

And of course a few of father & son. Dallas and Xander are so sweet together.

Such a sweet boy, look at those eyed they melt me.

Little X is not quite walking yet, but he has the squatting down.

Did I mention that the whole family is fun? Yep they are all fantastic.

this one might be my favorite of Mama & son, there is just no bond like it. I just loved seeing them together, such love.

And one last photo of out wonder boy. He is just so darn handsome!

Daria & Dallas thanks again for hanging out with me and trekking out in the rain. I just loved seeing your little man all big and talkative. He is such a sweet charmer!
