back and even more beautiful!

A few years back I had the opportunity to work with one of the sweet and beautiful Rust family, I just loved our session and resulting images. Well to my delight the lovely Jen emailed me this spring to set up another family session. I have to admit I was excited to see how her adorable kiddos had grown, and they did not disappoint. Though most of the baby fat is gone, Mia & Tanner are just as cute as ever. I can not believe they are so big already! We had a great time spending a beautiful evening running around Cook park and making some great images.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

The entire family is just ridiculously good looking, and lovely to boot.

Oh and silly too! We must never forget the silly. 🙂

Keith and Jen are so cute together. 🙂

Miss Mia is a knock out, clearly having a beautiful mama helps. 🙂

check out those silly hansom boys.

gah, such a beautiful girl! It is almost too easy with her.

And Tan the man, such a charmer.

🙂

beautiful girl + beautiful light + happy photographer

oh that smile, such a cute little man!

he he he, they are after all siblings, this cracks me up.

and a few more of the whole family. Such sweet people.

and one last one of the sweet kiddos. Seriously, they make it almost too easy being that adorable.

Jen thanks for tracking me down and trekking out for another session. I just loved seeing all of you! You and Keith are wonderful, and your kiddos are the coolest. I hope you love the images so far, I have so many more to show you very soon! And of course I have to throw down the blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this post, you will get a lovely little wallet brag book to show off those cute kiddos and beautiful family. SO leave sone love people!

Katie & Maggie are Awesome!

Last fall & Winter I participated in the “Giving is Awesome” program again. I love this program, it gives me a chance to give back, and meet new people I would have never normally met. Well it was hard to choose, but the winnings went to a fantastic mother & daughter by the names of Katie & Maggie. After waiting for a certain photographer to have a baby & recover we settled on a spring day and hoped for the best weather wise. It was a little rainy, but Katie & Maggie were hardcore and went for it anyway! We had a great time stomping around the PSU campus and getting to know each other. These two area sweet, kind and incredibly funny. With Maggie’s devious smile and strawberry blond hair I felt right at home hanging out with them. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

yeah they are no fun at all I tell ya.

very serious all time time.

Miss Maggie may play tough, but she loves her mama something fierce.

Maggie has some seriously amazing sparkly brown eyes, and of course I am a sucker for freckles.

These two are just lovely together.

🙂

I am pretty sure Maggie was being a bunny here? I love Katie’s look, as a mom I know I have made that face many a time.

100% pure JOY from this one. I love these two photos, they really show what a hilarious little munchkin she is.

hello matching cheekbones.

We even got Miss Candyce into the photos for a moment. Candyce is a former professor of mine who nominated Katie & Maggie. She pretty much rocks. 🙂

And one last photo of our lovely Mother & Daughter team.

Katie & Maggie thanks again for braving the rain and running all over campus with me (and Candyce for tromping along too!. I had a great time with you guys! I hope you like your peek I will have the whole gallery done soon and then we go to work on the book!

love this family…

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending some time with the lovely Britell family. We had a great time tromping around the George Fox Campus, warding off the rain and getting to know each other. If anything became clear to me over our time together it is that there is no shortage of love in this family. I walked away amazing at the strength of their love and with a huge smile on my face. Some families just make you feel good to be around, the Britell’s are one of those for sure. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorite’s from our session:

Meet Abby & Nick. I loved seeing the brother & sister bond. Makes me smile and think how my little boy & girl will love each other to bits like this someday.

Check out the whole adorable family. We had some real laughs out shooting. If I remember right I am standing in dog poop taking this one, classic. We laughed at my expense the rest of the day. 🙂

Abby clearly looks nothing like her dad! 🙂 They were super sweet together.

Mom & Nick are also super sweet together. That mother & son bond is always lovely, but theirs is just a beautiful thing.

Miss Abby and I also did some dancing. Check out her moves on the big stage!

and another of the whole family. I love the goofy smiles here!

One more of handsome Nick, such a sweet kiddo.

and the last shot in full honesty was not taken by me. Miss Abby is a photography lover and wanted to shoot some of her own. She full on art directed, set up, and shot this one on her own.  Pretty good right!

Leslie & family thanks again for braving the weather and coming out to shoot Sunday.  I had a great time with all of you! I hope you enjoy your peek, I know I have had fun editing them! I will have the whole set for you very soon! And of course you know I love a blog contest, if you all can get 25 comments on this little post a lovely brag book is in it for Mom & Dad on the house. So leave some love folks!

i just love new/old friends :)

Growing up a country girl you get to know the kids on your bus rout. It might just be the only way you get to know kids in your area. And yes I say area, not neighborhood. When the houses are all 5 acres plus away from each other it is an area. 🙂 One of the girls my age was a sweet girl named Mindy, she lived not too far away and always had a warm smile. I remember liking Mindy and her sister allot on those long bus rides home. Well thanks to the wonders of the internet and more specifically Facebook I got to reconnect with sweet Mindy.  Mindy has a wonderful husband, (who is an amazing kitchen designer) and two over the top adorable little ones. Mindy is also UBER crafty. No joke, you can see her cute crafty blog here, her etsy shop here, her candle shop here, and to top it off her twilight inspired etsy shop here. Seriously click the links she is amazing, we have quite a few Boboloo items in house, burp rags, candles, the most amazing MAX suite you have ever seen. We just spent an afternoon with her homemade play-dough, the stuff rocks.:)

Anyway… Mindy and her adorable family came over for a BBQ this past weekend and we took the opportunity to do some family & kids photos. We shot in a few spots around our home, here are a few of my favorites so far:

Griffin & Reiley are so cute. I just wanted to eat them up.

Such loving brother & sister too. 🙂

Griffin was adorable, and so sweet. He and my redhead had a blast playing. I loved watching them together thinking one day my Griffin will be this big. I love this set, such a “boy” he just had to go out and find a stick first thing. I am pretty sure this one was a magic want, cant you tell.

sweet baby Riley, she has some sparkly eyes like her mama.

and the whole family! They were such sports sitting in this soggy field. Mindy & Charles you are both adorable too!

I love this one the most I think, everyone just piled up and sweet.

Griffin  has some sparkly eyes of his own too!

and Reilly’s sweet smile, gah how could you ever say no to that face!

and a typical almost 2 year old, one second she is happy, the next she was D.O.N.E. only a mom could love that last photo, the sweet little pig tales peeking out over the sad face.

Mindy & Charles thank you both for your generosity over the past year. I am so excited we finally got our families together! I hope it was just the first of many times. Your kiddos are simply adorable, I hope you like some of the photos we captured that warm evening. I will have the whole batch ready for you soon as well! Oh and of course I want to rock the blog comment challenge as well. If you can get 25 people to comment on this post you will revive a mini brag book on me. 🙂 So leave some love people. 🙂

super ella

This past week I had the pleasure of meeting the adorable miss Ella. A session with her was a gift to her mama from some lovely old friends of mine. I have been looking forward to meeting the little lady for a while now. Let me tell you, while small & pretty new to this world, this little lady completely stole my heart. Beautiful, spunky & sweet this little girl was a joy to capture.

Here are a few of my favorites from out session together.

When I arrived miss Ella was awake and ready to play. I usually like my newborns sleepy but with those beautiful eyes I was happy I got to capture her baby blues!

after a little playing Ella needed a diaper change. Clearly she is set on being a super hero when she grows up with a pose like this!

after a clean diaper, a little super hero work, and mama’s milk Ella was ready to snooze for me. And such a sweet sleeping baby she is! I loved every little bit of her, from her curl-hawk to her toes. 🙂

sweet sleepy baby even gave me some smiles.

once she was out she was out! I think little miss Ella likes sleeping in the sun.

clearly she also loved my new red blanket. Just look at that smile. 🙂

Ella also loves her beautiful mama Melissa. I have to agree, she is pretty wonderful.

and daddy too of course. The family is in the middle of a construction project these days so daddy’s got some hard working hands. I just loved the contrast of her soft skin in them.

the whole family was just wonderful to hang out with.

and one last one of the new family. Ella clearly has it made don’t you think?!

Melissa thanks for having me out to capture your darling little girl. I just loved meeting all 3 of you! I hope you like your peek. I will have the whole set soon! Melissa I would also love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this little post I will throw in a cute little wallet brag book on me. Perfect for showing off a cute little baby when you go back to work. 🙂 So leave some love folks. 🙂
