tender love in corvallis

A while back I got a call from a very sweet new Mama in awe of her new baby and wanting to capture every bit of it before the tiny and newness of it all slipped away. I told her that normally I do not travel as far as Corvallis, and normally we only do newborn sessions with babies under 2 weeks old. But this mama, well she knew what she wanted and she talked me into it. And I am SO glad she did. The whole family was a joy to work with, and little baby T was an absolute love. Working on these images today made me smile all over again.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Check out little miss. Such a sweet baby. And those eyes, gah she melted me!

All the details of her room and space were tender and so thoughtfully put together. Complete with hand knit bunny made with love by mama.

Mom & Dad spent some time in South America in the peace core and had some beautiful woven scarves and blankets. I loved working them in to the precocious baby photos.

Check out that face, such a sweet little girl.

Not many 6 weeks old would let me do my normal newborn moving and handling.

After a little while little miss woke up and blessed us with her amazing eyes again. So we packet up the family and headed outside into the beautiful weather.

The families yard is also beautiful, and perfect for photos. I love this set, clearly this little girl will have no shortage of affection.

I wanted to capture some of the details of the yard too, if little miss is anything like her parents she will be spending lots of time outdoors loving nature.

This shot might be my favorite of the whole family. šŸ™‚

And one last shot of sweet little baby fingers handling the lovingly made beaded necklace made by her mama’s family and friends.

Bonnie, thanks so much for convincing me to come down to Corvallis. I had a wonderful time meeting you and your sweet family. Your little lady is quite the charmer!Ā  I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed the sneak peek. I will have the whole set for you very soon. I am so looking forward to capturing your little girl as she grows throughout the next year. Of course as a new client I have to issue the blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little blog post I will throw in a darling little wallet brag book on the house.

beautiful and new

Meet Jocelyn

She might be the most delicious sleepy curly newborn I have ever had the pleasure of working with. This little lady was SO GOOD TO ME. I could have pointed my lens at her all day. Miss J was welcomed to the world by her ever so handsome big brother, and super sweet mom & dad. The entire family was just a joy to work with.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

The whole family was just adorable. We shot these in their beautiful back yard.

Big brother was super gentle and patient with the wiggly little sister. I love his smile here, it is like he telling her a special secret. šŸ™‚

These two are going to have tons of fun together I can already tell.

Daddy & big brother had an adventure of their own to head out to while we girls stayed and took more photos. I just had to get one of the boys together before they left.

A kiss goodbye for baby girl. I love the combo of tiny baby and strong daddy hands.

After the boys left we got to the proper newborn photos. Baby J was so sleepy and curly. She let me do just about anything!

Such a beautiful little girl, just look at that sweet face.

And those lips!

I had been waiting for a girl to break out my new flower headband, she is so sweet and soft it was perfect.

Of course we had to add mama into the mix. You can tell where baby J gets her sweet profile from for sure. šŸ™‚

And one last one of our little princess. If you look close you can see just a tiny bit of milk on her delicate baby lips.Ā  It just melts me.

Kimberlee thanks for having me out to meet your precious family. I enjoyed meeting you all, you have some over the top adorable kids. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the entire gallery very soon for you. Of course as a new client I would love to issue you a blog challenge. If you can get 25 comments on this post (yes mom & dad can comment too!) I will throw in a darling little wallet brag book. Perfect for showing off those cute little ones of yours. So leave some love people.

Family Love

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with the ever so adorable Gracey Family. Sara contacted me while back to schedule a session to capture her daughter’s first birthday and before her wonderful husband was deployed with the National Guard. Of course I was honored to capture the family at this special moment in time. We met up at one of my favorite local parks and had fun chatting and working hard getting a certain little girl to smile. šŸ™‚

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Such sweet and nice people! Even if little Kaylee did not love the idea of being in front of the camera.

Little Kaylee is so sweet, and clearly her mom & dad feel the same way. No shortage of love here.

peek-a-boo!

Kaylee SMILES! whoo hoo! Totally worth the work she is just so cute!

Such a serious little face.

Her beautiful brown eyes kill me šŸ™‚

we also had a little fun at the playground.

And one last photo of beautiful little Kaylee.

Sara thanks for coming out to Newberg and for trusting me to capture your sweet family. I will have the whole gallery up very soon for you! I hope you like the peek so far, I think we pulled out some cute ones despite the ā€œnot so happy about the cameraā€ girl. šŸ™‚ It was a pleasure to meet you all. And of course as new clients you get a blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this little post you get a free mini wallet brag book on the house!

blond curls & silly faces make me happy

It seems like just yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting this adorable families’ newborn session. Back then Bella was teeny tiny, Abby was still learning the words for ā€œbig sisterā€. Well the adorable sisters are back, and both SO BIG! The whole family met me last weekend for a very warm, but fun session in downtown Newberg. We had a good time catching up, talking about small towns, Hawaii and new siblings.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Big girl Bella! Such a sweet pea.

Bella loves big sister, I do believe she is watching Mama & Abby do the hula here.

And here is our beautiful big sister. Her big brown eyes are just killer!

She was playing shy with me, but I got the smiles.

Cute girls! The squishing/love reminds me of my little ones.

They also love their wagon, can’t wait till mine are big enough for wagon rides!

And of course the whole cute family.

Clearly there is no shortage of love in this family.

Bella’s silly faces crack me up.

Abby is so darn cute!

šŸ™‚

Smiles, tickles, squishes, smooches, yep that is a family!

Thanks guys for joining me despite the hot weather, I had a great time seeing you all again. I can not believe how the girls have gown, they are just so adorable. And because you did so well last year, lets have another comment challenge shall we? If you can get 30 comments on this post I will throw in a lovely little brag book for mum & dad!
