Salem Family Fun

Sometimes I meet cute families attending weddings I am shooting. Some times I think how I would love to photograph them, sometimes i hand out a business card, and sometimes bug them endlessly until they agree to call me for a session. I might have done that to the oh so adorable K family. 🙂 Nicole was the best friend to one of my most fun brides of the summer, so I was over the top excited when she wait she wanted to arrange some family photos.We had a great time running around downtown Salem, staying out of the rain, and laughing a lot.

Behold her ever so adorable family, here are a few of my favorites so far:

And of course there is baby sister too! She is all sass and giggles, my favorite combo.

Ahh all three kiddos being cute, I just adore these three.

Big brother & sister both have some super sparkly eyes and good smiles. It is almost too much.

What a diffrence a year makes

Just over a year ago I ran a little facebook contest. I had some new baby/newborn items i was itching to try out. I threw out a little challenge on facebook to my friends and clients saying the first person to contact me with in 2 weeks with a fresh newborn baby gets a free session. Well it paid off, I not only got to try out my new hat & blanket, but I ended up meeting one of the most adorable families in the area. I had a great time working with the whole family, and was thrilled to see them back in front of my lens this year.  With big brother starting preschool & little sister looking more like a big girl each day it was super fun to see how big they are!

Here are just a few of my favorites so far:

We started off getting a few of the whole family, aren’t they adorable.

Little sister took a little warming up, but man that smile was worth it!

Big brother on the other hand was a ham for me, just like last year! I just adore that mischievous grin.

Such a big girl already! And those eyes are just killer.

Mr Z also has some sparkly eyes to go along with that super cute smile.

The cuteness was almost too much for me.

I wanted a few of big brother and mommy, I think I asked him to put his face by mommy, but of course being a little dude he had to squish her. It cracks me up, my kids do that too!

You can tell there is no shortage of love here!

Is there any better place than Daddy’s arms? Nope not really.

Katie thanks again for coming out to meet me. I had a great time seeing you guys and playing with the kiddos. Airplanes & puppies

If you are a blog reader of mine you might remember a certain adorable baby this time last year, and then a charming little dude this past winter. Well the S man is back, and literally more adorable than before, if that is possible. I met up with the Mr. S and his adorable family at a beautiful park in Lake Oswego for portraits and ended up having a great time laughing about a certain some-one’s obsession with airplanes and puppies.

Here are a few of my favorites from our day:

Such a big boy already!

Getting a little love from Mama. You can see where he got his beautiful smile.

Don’t be fooled he is not posing for me, he is checking out the “PUPPY!” behind me.

Gah that smile is killer!

And those sparkly eyes.

We even got Gran into the mix.

Clearly Grandma is well loved. 🙂

The park we used for the session had a beautiful little outlook over the river. Such a great spot.

We also got to do some fun reflection shots using the wading pool. Perfect on a hot night.

Is there anything better than a full on belly laugh?

And one more smile, gah he kills me.

My new bff

Meet Sofie…

She is sweet, funny, smart, beautiful, hilarious and a great hand holder. Yep I think she just might be my new best friend. 🙂

I had a lovely time hanging out with her mom & dad as well last week in the Sellwood district of Portland. A beautiful night with an adorable family, I really do have the best job ever. Sofie is a charmer, and was a doll in front of the camera!

Sofie’s whole family was just as lovely.

Clearly these three have no shortage of love for eachother.

Have I mentioned how cute she is?

Sophie also has some killer eye lashes, I love how this one shows them off.

She also has a little diva in her, I do believe this one cost mom and dad a chocolate milk.  A girl after my own heart.

We also got a few of Mom & Dad. Sofie art directed this one.

Like I said, we had fun!

Miss Sofie is a perfect mix of beautiful mom and hansom daddy.

Emery is one!

Just last week I had the pleasure of hanging out with Kristi, Robert and Emery at one of my favorite spots in the entire Portland area. McMinnaminns’ Edgefield is a fun place to hang, especially with an adorable One year old & her cute family. We had a lovely time walking the grounds and talking babies. You see miss Emery is not only just turning One, a huge deal, but she is also going to be a big sister this winter! Exciting stuff. Mom Kristi wanted to celebrate this fun time of life with a photo session in a fun place, of course I was thrilled to be the one to capture it.

Here are a few of my favorites from our time:

She is also quite a family of her Daddy, check out the smooches here. 🙂

The whole family is lots of wiggly giggly fun, the wiggling was mostly on Emery’s part of course.

At Edgefield in one of the gardens we spotted a red door that Miss Emery fell in LOVE with. She could have spent hours opening and closing the thing. It cracked me up, but man we got some good smiles!

Check out that smile! This one might be my favorite of the whole lot. 🙂
