two guys in love

These two are the coolest. The are sweet, kind, wicked funny and super good guys. They also have one of the most adorable pups in the greater Portland area. Kona was kind of a diva to be honest, but I do love that about her. I joined the two love birds and their fabulous pup for a quick hike in Forest Park recently. We had a great time talking about life, weddings, destructive puppies and restaurants. I am SO so excited about their wedding next month!  It was a great time on a beautiful evening.

J & C Thanks again for meeting up with me and taking a hike. I had a great time getting to know you two more and meeting Kona. Again I am so excited for your big day in just a few short weeks! Hello Kathleen

Head-shots are always so interesting to work on. You need to follow the “rules” of the company or magazine you are shooting for, but you also have to do your best to draw out the personality of the person in-front of the camera. Usually balancing formality with personality. I love the challenge, and especially love to get to the point where the person shines through.

Just last week it was my pleasure to work with Kathleen on getting her some new head-shots for her work at a local technology company. She needed some shots for inter company use as well as her online video tutorials. I think we did a great job of bringing out her warm personality and humor.

Jeanie & Arturo: the wedding!

What can I say about Jeanie and Arturo? So many things, they are fun, they are talented, they are goofy, they have amazing friends and family, and above all they are a pleasure to capture with my lens. These two made their wedding the perfect mix or fun and love on a beautiful early summer day. There was love, there was sunshine, there was music, it was my kind of party! The groom even wrote and sang a special song to his new bride. It was brilliant.

Steve + Anthony = love

When I first started talking to Steve and Anthony about their summer wedding they mentioned the big day would be held at their La Center home. After we met I went up north to check out the house and property, let me just say “country home” does not describe the beauty and grandeur of this property. The fields, the woods, the animals, and the house OMG the amazing house! It so so stunning we decided to use the barn and fields for the engagement photos too. We had a wonderful time walking the horses, playing with the puppies and even a little wine by the fire. Steve and Anthony have truly made their home a paradise, and it was my pleasure to spend an evening there with these two lovely guys taking photos.

Who loves his Auntie Em? Well clearly baby Fischer does

I am lucky, my job is awesome, my family is awesome, and some times the two worlds even collide!

Recently I got to make the trek up to Seattle to meet my brand new nephew baby Fischer. he was SO good for me, so good. I already loved the little guy, but man this made Auntie em SO happy.

 

Behold the adorable little man. I am so exited to watch him grow and play with he cousins soon.
