Crystal & Troy back in the Dundee Hills!

It was just over 3 years ago that I first got a call from the oh so lovely Crystal. She was hiring a photographer for her wedding, and wanted both wedding photography in the Dundee Hills, and engagement photography in the couple’s home in Chicago. Even if it was over the phone, I imminently fell into an easy friendship with both Crystal & Troy. They are sweet, kind, funny and wicked smart. I had a wonderful time getting to know them in Chicago when I flew out for the engagement photos, and then again when they came to my home turf of the Dundee hills a few months later for their wedding.

I was thrilled when they told me recently they would be coming back to Oregon to celebrate their anniversary and wanted to take some family photos including their DARLING baby boy. We headed back up to the always beautiful Elk Cove Vineyards and had a perfect summer morning together.

Here are just a handful of my favorites:

J&C : the wedding

J and C know how to throw an amazing wedding, it is just that simple. I knew the day would be epic after our engagement session hike a few months back. I knew the venue (C’s parent’s home) would be stunning, I knew the guest list would be fun, and I knew the fancy covered pool dance-floor would be fun to photograph. I knew it, but they really outdid themselves.

On top of all the things I knew I learned that all of their friends and family could make me laugh so hard I snorted at dinner. I learned that these two not only tore up the dance-floor but ended up in the pool by the end of the night. And I learned fireworks at a wedding are epic.

It was an amazing night, and it really was our pleasure to capture it!

welcome to the world baby leon

Oh Leon, Leon my darling Leon. I adored you before you were even born. 🙂

I have been luck enough to photograph this little guys parents a few times. First an engagement session, then a stunning winter wedding, then most recently a sunny summer maternity session. Each time has been a pleasure, but meeting darling little Leon has been by far my favorite. He is such a sweet little gentle souled boy. Just look at those eyes! He did not want to sleep much for me, but he was so chill and darling. 🙂

Here are a handful of my favs.

Mary Elizabeth & Matthew are married

I always love working with out of town couples, especially when they introduce me to new places in my own state. I have been to the charming little town of Gearhart Oregon a few times. The most recently for a wedding a few years back. It really is a lovely little town. Mary Elizabeth and Matt planned a stunning sea side wedding. They have family connections to the town, but also just wanted to be near the Ocean for their big day as they are both very avid sailors.

They put together a beautiful wedding, and sweet little seaside park in town, and then over the top fun reception at the always lovely McMenamin’s Gearhart Hotel.

We had such a beautiful day to work with, and what a beautiful couple too! The day was filled with great music, great people, and some pretty delicious food.

Piazza Family 2014

It was my pleasure to capture the whole Piazza family this year. It’s been just over a year and a half since sweet little Cecelia was in-front of my camera. She started out as a tiny little newborn, then a wee little chubby thing, then a toddling 1 year old.  She has always been beautiful, and at least a little bit willful, but always fun to capture. This year was no different, Cecelia gave me a run for my money, but it was totally worth it. She also brought along a whole new crew of cousins, grandparents and even an auntie and uncle.

The whole crew was lovely to work with, and capture. I  got to point the big camera at the big family as well as get some extra special photos of a little lad just turning one while in town visiting the grand parents. It was a great day.

Here are a few of my favorites…
