Happy Fall Friends!

emily g photography www.emilygphotography.comemily g photography www.emilygphotography.comemily g photography www.emilygphotography.comFor us Fall means back to school, Halloween preparations, sweater weather, pumpkin spice flavored coffee, and harvesting in the orchard we live in! We had fun breaking into a big tote of the nuts harvested this year and checking out the crops. My ninja turtle approves. 🙂

Oh how I love fall, I do think it is my favorite of all seasons!

If you want to book a fall session now is the time! I still have a few open spots in my scedule. 🙂 email or call me soon! I would love to see a few new and returning faces out in the fall leaves!

Sarah + Layton = Love

It was just over a year ago I photographed one of the  longest, most fun and most giggle inducing weddings. Kayla & Johnny were a joy to work with, but really what I remember most was how wonderful both their families were. Both families were warm, kind and utterly hilarious. So when sweet Sarah contacted me and said she was marrying one of the Dessert boys I was overjoyed! Sarah is also sweet, kind and darn funny her self. I got to know her, and her parents when we first met and got instantly excited about their 2015 wedding.

Recently I met Sarah & Layton at one of my favorite local spots to do some engagement photos. We laughed, we talked weddings and beaches and travel. I had so much fun getting to know them, and talking about all of their plans from wedding colors to Law and Medical School. These two are such great people, and were so fun to capture. I know I always say it, but I am really, really looking forward to their big day.

For now shall we roll out a blog challenge?! If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love folks!

two adorable boys!

When Christine first contacted me about photographing her family I asked her a little about them. She immediately described her boys as being cute and full of energy. She was so right with that description! Just a few short weeks ago I spent the evening with her curly haired sweet boys and instantly adored them. They were full of energy, telling me all about super heroes and sports. We climbed some rocks, we flexed our muscles and even tackled daddy!

It was a lovely evening with a lovely family.

Here are a few of my favorites…

Sweet Sophie

As a newborn photographer you never know what kind of mood a baby is going to be in. That is the thing about working with babies I love, they do not care about our scedule or what looks good. Newborn babies are in charge, you just have to go with it. Some times babies make me work for the sweet curly poses, some times they never stop crying, and some times they surprise me with perfectly timed naps. Sweet Sophie was so good for me. Like really good. For a baby girl just over a month old she was amazing! She sleep like a cute little log, kept my blankets clean, and even let out one little sweet smile.

She was also so good to provide me with a sweet and incredibly photogenic Mama and Dad. It was a pleasure to work with this beautiful family.

High Five for Serena!

It was just four years ago I met with an adorable Newberg family to celebrate their baby turning one year old. We had a great session, so I was super excited when they called again this year wanting to capture the baby girl all grown up before her 5th birthday.

Serena has grown, and become even more beautiful! It was great catching up with the whole family, but miss S kept me laughing with her antics.
