Danielle & Ben are married!

One of the reasons I love my job as a wedding photographer is it takes me all over. Sometimes the Mountains, sometimes the coast, sometimes the gorge, sometimes even into the city after dark.

But every once in a while I get to stay close to home, and that makes me a special kind of happy. Danielle & Ben were married recently on a beautiful family home in St. Paul, Oregon. Their day was filled with family, friends, laughter and so much love. It was great getting to know these two this year, and extra special to be a small part of capturing their important day. There is something so sweet about a private intimate wedding, so personal, just a perfect way to end the summer.

Jessica, Phil and the baby to be!

Oh man I love it when my wedding clients get back in touch to tell me they are expecting. It makes me so happy, and honored they want me to capture the next stage of their special story. I worked with Jessica and Phil on their beautiful Salem wedding last year, and had a great time with them. It was lovely to catch up again, hear about their year, and the coming new life in Jess’s belly.

These guys are always great to capture, but this session may just be my favorite so far.

Jessica & Phil thanks again for meeting up with me while you were in town. It was great catching up. I wish you two so much joy in this next exciting step together. 🙂 Please come back up when the baby arrives and let me point my camera at the little guy. 🙂

such big boys!

I know I say it all the time, but really, truly, honestly I love my job.

One of the best parts is watching families change and grow. The N family started out as a young family with a brand new baby boy. Over the last five years (five years wow!) they have added another darling boy both have grown by leaps and bounds. The boys have grown so much in-front of my lens over the last few years, it really has been my pleasure to capture the huge and little changes alike. This year we went for a bit of a nature hike. We talked about plants, bugs, birds, soccer, treats and even animal noises. It was a lovely evening with one of my favorite families.

Here are a handful of my favorites.

growing up so fast!

My oh my how time flies!

The S family always brings the cute, always. But this year they out did themselves! Even with a little sibling rivalry going down I had a great time catching up with all 5 of these guys. I can not believe we have been doing this for almost 3 years nowLast year we dealt with the cold, this year we lucked into a beautifully sunny afternoon.

Here are a handful of my favorites:
