fun in the fall…

Man oh man, what a difference a year makes!

This time last year I was photographing a darling newborn boy and his adorable big sisters.

This year I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon chasing after a HUGE and handsome Toddler and his adoring sisters.

Where did the time go! I love these guys, all five of them. I love their silly jokes, manic crazy face making, and even their forgiveness when I unintentionally make fun of their darling cat. I really do have the best clients ever.

Here are some of my favorites…

Hil & Joe thank you for once again sharing your family with me. I adore you guys! I hope you enjoyed the peek, I will have the rest done very soon.

Kristin & Jason: the wedding

Kristin & Jason know how to throw a wedding. Not just because they both happen to be in the restaurant industry, but because they knew how to perfectly mix the personal and the fun.  They recently rented out a stunning room at one of Portland’s best known restaurants and hosted a perfectly sized group of friends and family for the evening. There was laughter, there was happy tears, there was delicious food, and there was so much love.  It was a beautiful night, with some amazing views. After working with Kirstin this year in the planning phases, and meeting the two in person during our wine country engagement session I knew it would be amazing. It was also fun to know a handful of folks in the crowd too!

Ahh what a beautiful night!

Kristin & Jason thanks again for having me out to capture your day. It was so fun, and so full of love. I hope your travels home were great. I also hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. I will have the whole gallery up soon,

Sierra & John: love

They always say don’t mix family and business, and honestly I try really hard not to. But when my oh so wonderful sister in law and dear friend got engaged to an awesome dude I knew I just HAD to do their engagement photos.

Sierra and John are two of the kindest, funniest, and most wonderful people I know. And I am not just saying that because they know where I live and have incriminating photos of me. I really do mean it. I could not be happier for these two. I look forward to their wedding next summer, and I can not wait to be a real life wedding guest!

Here are a handful of images from our session together a few weeks ago on the beach.

Jessica & Rich: love

Just recently I posted how a thank you card made my day. It really does, I am a mushy sentimental person I admit it. 😉 But you know what is even better thank a thank you? A referral from a happy client. A few months back I happened to photograph the most darling little boy in Seattle. After sharing his photos his mama was kind enough to recommend me to a friend of hers who was recently engaged.    After talking online, then meeting with Jessica and Rich I knew they were my speed. They are sweet, kind, a bit goofy, and a whole lot in love. We met up recently for some fall engagement photos. They wanted to celebrate their engagement at some classic Portland downtown spots. You see Rich moved all the way up to Portland to be with his lady love, so it was important we celebrate their hometown. They were so fun to capture with my camera.

Jessica & Rich thanks so much for meeting up with me, and chancing the weather! It turned out to be a beautiful morning and a great time. I had so much fun getting to know you both better. I should be done with the whole set very soon. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love folks!

brightens my day…

Kindwords17

Awww, on a cold grey day like this, getting a thank you card in the mail from a happy client really does brighten my day. 🙂

I was lucky enough to work with these two this summer. The booking was a bit short notice, but I loved stepping in, and capturing a stunning wedding. You can see more of their big day on my blog here.

I am starting to book weddings for 2015 now, if you or anyone you know is getting married now is the time to talk to a wedding photographer! I would love to spend another summer with my camera pointed at wonderful couples. 🙂
