A few months back I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a wonderful group of mid-wifes here in the Willamette Valley at Bella Vie Gentle Birth Center.

They wanted to put together a shoot showcasing their staff and services, but not the normal stuffy head-shots. No they were heavily inspired by the show “call the midwife”. It was so fun to capture such a great group of ladies, and in such a creative way. I posted a few images a while back on my blog here. I would love to share now a video they had produced of the shoot. You may recognize my arm and back of my head a few times, other than that it is a great video of a fun shoot!

Newborn session info

I have a couple emails I keep in my “draft” file at all times.

One is all about one of my most favorite topics, newborn sessions! Over the years it has grown longer and more detailed, this week I decided to put a whole page together on the topic. I think it is going to be helpful for prospective and returning clients considering hiring me to capture the newest members of their families.

I LOVE working with brand new itty bitty babies, especially when I can prep everything possible with the brand new parents ahead of time.

remember when

Remember when you could go outside barefoot and not risk of your toes freezing off?

Yeah, those were the days. 😉

I remember a specific day this summer I spend in the sun with two wonderful and kind people.

They threw a wedding, I photographed it, we had fun.

Now I am sit in my frozen office, designing their wedding album thinking fondly of the warm summer day. 🙂

Floyd Girls are the cutest

It’ is almost too good some times, a beautiful day, two cute little girls, a little bit of a theme. It’s like these guys actually like me or something. 😉

I adore these little ladies, not just because they are sweet, smart and crazy cute, but because their mama is one of my nearest and dearest. 🙂

Hirsch Family 2014

I love these boys. It may be because I’ve know then from birth. It may be because they call me auntie em. It may also be because they are smart, funny and crazy cute.

I love these boys, and their parents fiercely.

Am & Greg, thanks for trusting me to capture your family for all these years. I guess I will forgive you for moving the family across the country if you promise to come back and visit me. 🙂
