My Favorite Bat Family: Daria, Dallas & Xander

Many, Many moons ago I captured a maternity session that was just over the top fun. Not only was the mama to be one of my favorite local characters, and her hubby a sports legend, but they brought a sense of fun and joy to the session that could not be matched. We even brought out a certain bat costume at the end to show Dad’s love of the hero.

Well 5 years, many sessions and birthday parties later I am proud to call these people not just clients but friends. It has been a pleasure to watch Xander grow and spend time with this awesome family. It’s not just a gimmick folks, they really are this cool. This year Dallas really wanted to get the whole family in costume for some holiday family photos. We really did it up, and I am so proud of of the whole set came out.

Whew! I just just back in the office after 4 days at an AMAZING photographers seminar. It was a weekend full of fun, inspiration, LONG days, crazy intense learning, and so much community. My body is exhausted, but my brain is buzzing with new information, and my heart & soul are over flowing with inspiration. I am SO happy to do what I do for a living, but this weekend really re-lit that fire inside me!

Back in the office today I got notification that to oh so lovely wedding blog Equal & Forever featured one of my weddings I was lucky enough to capture this past summer. Joe & Curran had an amazing event, you can see the full meal deal on this post, and E&F post here.
