Magical Mila

I love it when a plan comes together!

Just a few years ago it was my privilege to document Jessica & Ryan’s beautiful rooftop wedding.

Just a few short months ago it was again my privilege to photograph J&R to celebrate a certain beautiful baby bump.

Now, I am back, and even more excited than ever to show images from sweet baby Mila’s newborn session. She was such a darling for me. I love this little ladies cute face, expressive mouth, and wild tuft of hair. Working with newborns is always fun for me, but this little lady kind of stole my heart.

Here are my favs from our session

Thank you J&R for again trusting me to capture such an important moment in the timeline of your family. I loved working with you all again, and am really looking forward to watching Mila grow via my camera. 🙂 I wish you all so much happiness as a family of three, and hope more sleep filled nights are in your future.

I will have the whole gallery done very soon. For now lets break out the blog challenge shall we? If you can get 30 people to comment on this little post I will throw in a set of brag books on the house. SO leave some love for this darling baby and her peeps shall we!

Rooftops and Magic

I was recently contacted and asked to shoot some “wedding style images” at a new bulding project Washington High School and you can see my images on the rooftop here. When they are all set up it is going to be AMAZING! I was so excited after taking these, I really look forward to seeing the whole wedding there. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorite images from our shoot.

Sweet Micah made me work for it!

Working with newborn babies is the ultimate challenge. One of the reasons I love it, is for the challenge really. Newborn babies do not care if I have a schedule, they want what they want, when the want it. There is no bribing them, no talking them into things, if they want to eat, they will let you know. And sweet, darling, Micah let me know. During our first session this super cute boy wanted none of our cozy blankets and soft wraps, he wanted to eat. The entire 3 hours I was there. I can usually wait out a newborn, but sweet Micah wanted to be different lol. After many hours of feeding, and a few clicks of the camera we rescheduled. His wonderful Mamas spent the weekend ironing out his eating needs and by the next week he was a whole new baby. Sleepy, happy, and ready for his time with my camera. While I never want a baby to be unhappy, I was glad to have the extra day with him. He was so good for me, and a darling to capture. 🙂 I loved working with his whole family.

Here are a handful of my favorites…

Erica & Katie thanks for your patience! I adore your sweet baby boy, even if he made us all work for it. 🙂 It was a pleasure to meet you all and capture your family. I wish you all nothing but the best with this little hungry ninja, and hope to see you all again soon as he grows up!

Your whole gallery will be ready soon. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a set of brag books on the house. So leave some love for this cute family folks!

Sarah & Ted: the wedding

Sarah & Ted were married on the winter solstice down in Eugene at a beautiful little B&B. I know I always say it, but I love my job especially when it brings me to beautiful people creating beautiful moments  intentionally. This wedding was very intimate, soulful, and utterly full of love. From the poem read at the beginning of the ceremony, to the last toast, the entire day was beautiful. It was a foggy cold day outside, but kind of perfect for an intimate winter wedding. It gave the whole day this comfortable glow, a good setting for our bride & groom.

Her Dress: Lena Medoyeff

Venue & Food: Secret Garden Inn, Eugene Oregon

Her Jewelry: The Beveled Edge/Eugene Saturday Market

Food: Party Downtown

I really enjoyed this one, and can not wait to share the images with you.
