Family Photos in the Dundee Hills

The J family “bought me” at an auction that is near and dear to my heart. I donate to many auctions in the Metro area, but this one was specifically to raise money for my daughter’s school. I volunteer at this one, and help run the event. It is always a fun night! The only part of the night I find myself worried about really, is when people are bidding on my on services. It is awkward, watching people look at my work and write down a value. I always find my self cringing, but this particular year I was pretty excited about the family that “bought me”.

The photo package was purchased by the J family, and I was super excited to capture them.  It took us a while to work around their busy schedules, but I am so glad we finally made it happen. This family was lovely to work with, and has three of the most charming, best behaved and beautiful children I have had the pleasure to point a camera at. 🙂

Westervelt Lovelies & Family

I know I say it all the time, but I LOVE watching families grow.

When they come back again it is so fun to see how the little ones grow, change and learn new things. This is the third time I have photographed the W family. Each time has been lovely, but this time was extra special since it was not only them, but the whole extended family.

And they brought cute cousins! Check out all the ginger haired lovelies! It was a great morning, and fun to capture. We went back up to one of my favorite spots, Red Ridge Farms, made some silly faces, and walked the grounds, what a great morning.

Olivia & Andrew: love

While talking about places to take engagement photos with Olivia & Andrew, the idea of the Portland Mercado came up. We were thinking of places with special meaning to the couple, and some bright colors & textures for the backdrops. I myself had not made it to the Mercado yet, but MAN I AM SO GLAD I SAID YES!

The mercado is bright, colorful, fun and above all freaking Delicious!

Olivia and Andrew started out in the typical way, kind of not comfortable with being infront of the camera, but by the end of the session we were all laughing, joking and having a good time. It was such a fun evening getting to know them, and one of their favorite Portland spots. It really speaks to how fun, loving, and family oriented this awesome couple is.

I mean really just look at Olivia’s laugh, and Andrew’s adoring smile at her, how can you not love these two.

Here are a few of my favorites:

O&A thank you so much for sharing your special spot with me. I loved spending the evening with you all.

I really can not wait for your big day this summer. It will be an amazing event I can already tell.

The whole gallery will be ready very soon. For now let’s throw down a blog contest shall we? If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in an 11×14 wall hanging on the house.

So leave some love folks!

I love Cedrick… oh and Kaitlyn & Aaron are cool too…

Kaitlyn and Aaron are so fun to hang with. We did a mini session this winter, but the sun is out so it is time for the full session! This past weekend we spent time downtown laughing, talking weddings, and of course all about our beloved 4 legged friends. They brought their darling Retired Greyhound Cedrick to the shoot this time, and he was a charmer! Such a sweet boy! I kind of fell in love with him. 🙂

Here are a few of my fav’s from the session…

K & A thanks for hanging out, and of course sharing Cedrick with me. He totally stole my heart!

I can not wait to capture your big day in just a few weeks time! I will have the whole set done shortly, for now I would love to throw down a blog contest. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in a 11×14 wall hanging on the house.

Darling Little Boy

What a spring it has been! Just a few weeks ago it was my pleasure to capture the darling R family and their brand new baby boy.

He was SO sweet for me. Sleepy, curly, he even put up with us putting him into a baseball glove! I love my job, especially when darling little guys like this one are so sweet to work with. The whole family was just lovely to work with.

Carly thanks again for having me into your home. You were all lovely to capture, but your sweet little boy totally stole the show. I wish you all nothing but joy with your new little man.

I will have the whole set done very soon. For now I would love to offer you a blog contest. If you can get 30 people comment on this post I will throw in a set of brag books on the house.
