It was a few months ago I started talking to the J family. After a few conversations we set up a session date and time to take some baby and family photos. We choose a park close to home that was special to them, and a time of day they thought their little girl would be happy. It is always important to catch babies at their happiest time of day. Well we certainly timed it right, baby girl was a smiley happy little thing for sure! The whole family was a pleasure to capture. Sessions like this make my job easy it is no lie!
Here are a few from our time together:

Being asked to photograph someone’s wedding is a big deal. It is allot of trust my clients put in me, and I and always honored to capture such an important day in someone’s life.
That said asking someone to care for your child is an even bigger trust situation. About two years ago I hired the lovely folks below to care and teach my baby boy, so I was touched and excited when they decided to hire me to photograph their wedding. I already adored them, but working with them this way takes it to a whole new level. I was touched that they trusted me, I mean let’s be honest they often see my in grungy sweats and bed head in the morning at school drop off. 😉
It was so fun going out to capture engagement photos with these two. We tromped around the adorable little town of St. Paul, talked about the crazy kiddos in our lives, and made some pretty photos.
Here are a few of my favs:

Honestly, any time I have camera in my hand, people are happy, and the music is good, I am a pretty happy girl. Most of the time I point my camera at weddings, babies and the like, but every so often I am asked to capture corporate events. This weekend was that very situation. A wonderful wedding planer I adore working with (Nora with Bridal Bliss) asked if I was open to shooting an event for the company Hydro Temp. This great family & locally owned company was celebrating their 30 year mark with a big shin dig down at the Nines Hotel. It was my pleasure to capture this cast of characters in celebration mode. Even the band (5 guys named Moe) made me smile!
The mood was fun, the people were great, the food was yummy, and the music was fantastic!
Here are a few of the images I captured…
