What a way to really start off the season!

Last Saturday, was the first wedding of what I like to call “the streak”. Every year, as a wedding photographer, I have a period of time that I am booked solid on Saturdays. Sometimes it is a long run, and sometimes it is a short run, it really depends on the year. This year I will be spending my Saturdays with lovely couples from now, until late September. It is crazy, and hectic, but I love my job so it is all good.

I could not have asked for a better way to start off the streak. Lindsay & Brandon’s wedding was so full of love, fun, color & light, it was amazing. You will see most of the photos below are in bright vibrant color, they have to be to truly capture this bright and vibrant couple.

This wedding was fun, emotional, silly, joyous, and above all so darn beautiful! It really was my pleasure to capture it.

L & B thanks so much for having me out to capture your wedding day. It truly was my pleasure. I had so much fun pointing my camera at your joyous and colorful crew. The honest emotion, and beautiful setting was just amazing to photograph. I wish you two nothing but joy in your lives together. I am so glad  you all came north and got hitched. 😉

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. I will have the whole set done very soon. If any friends and family want a link to the entire set when it is ready please leave a comment below so I can capture your email.

love in a grocery store…

I have done a lot of couples sessions in my time as a photographer.

I have gone to the beach, to the mountains, to coffee shops, and breweries, even a few wineries and sculpture parks.

But never, have I ever, shot in a grocery store.

But just a few short weeks ago, I did. And it was AWESOME.

When talking about “special” spots to this lovely couple, they laughingly admitted they spent their first couple dates grocery shopping. When your lives are busy with kids, jobs, and other things, you sometimes take the time you can get with each-other. I totally get that. Just last week I spent my “date night” with my husband at IKEA. If you really love someone, and love spending time with them, the location is very secondary.

So, off to the grocery store we went. We had a great time laughing, dancing, and freaking out the other customers. 😉

Enjoy the peek!

Tammy & Hung: Love

Tammy and Hung make me laugh, for real. I spent more time giggle like a kid at this session than any other in recent memory. These guys are smart, funny and have so much fun together. Each couple has their own way, their own connection, and I try my hardest to capture it during our sessions together. With Tammy and Hung it was easy to see the love they have for each-other, they show it in laughter and smiles.

Here are a few from our session together.

Gorgeous little Grace

Oh how I love my job.

Just recently I got to spend the day with the most gorgeous little girl named Grace. She and her family live in a beautiful home in West Linn. We spent a warm morning and early afternoon talking babies, Chicago hotdogs, gardening, and cats, and taking some beautiful photos of course. Grace was so sweet and sleepy to work with, such a darling little lady.

Here are a few of my favorites from our day together.
