Oh man is there anything more precious than a brand new baby boy?

Yep two of them!

It was my pleasure to spend the morning recently capturing the S twins. They were SO so good for me. Sleepy and sweet as long as they were together of course. I can already tell these boys will be close for life. 🙂

Camille, Brett, and Dinosaurs: the wedding

Can we get real here for a moment?

I photograph a lot of weddings, like A LOT. Each one is special, moving and wonderful in their own way. But at my core I love it when couples really throw their personalities out there, like 100%. Sometimes those personalities are calm, creative, silly, the list is endless…

Sometimes those personalities are dinosaurs…

(why yes this is our lovely bride pulling a Chris Pratt move and saving her new husband from Velociraptors, aka the wedding party, duh.)

Check out Camille & Brett, at their cores they are silly dinosaur lovers, and that makes me love them SO HARD. After they said I do, they walked down the isle to the Jurassic park theme. So. Rad.

They also tip in ice-cream & wine, so double bonus points.

So friends check out their wedding photos, I hope I did justice to this awesome, silly, wonderful, adorable couple.

You want to do a food fight session? Ok twist my arm…

Erica & Jered are freaking awesome…

When I chat with folks about engagement or “pre-wedding” photos, most people are hesitant. They see them as silly, or something to be skipped. I get it, I do. I personally hate being in-front of the camera and wield one for a living. But as I have said many time I encourage all of my couples to do them if only to get used to being in-front of the camera. These sessions help get that awkwardness out of the way, so when the wedding rolls around we are all on the same page.

One thing I tell all my clients is that these images are 100% bonus. Have fun with them! We can do them formal, traditional, or completely off the wall. We can pick a location special to you, like the site of your first date. We can shoot on a mountain top, beach, woods or even at home. What ever strikes your fancy. I always encourage people to be creative.

This summer many have gone creative, (remember the grocery store!) but Erica & Jered win. They took creative, and smashed a pie into it’s face, literally…

For reals this was the most fun thing I have shot all summer…

I LOVE the one in BW and it looks like Erica just threw something at Jered and maybe he’s ducking, maybe she bombed him. Hard to tell. But it is AWESOME. So I have to ask – wedding cake? Seems like there could be a theme here.

The S boys are back and even more charming

I didn’t think it was possible, but these boys get more and more charming each year. Every two years these guys have me into their home to capture the boys as they are, in their element. This year was particularly special as they will be moving on to a new home soon. Over the last two years the little guys got bigger, smarter, and even more charming.

It really was fun to see these guys, catch up, and point me camera their way. 🙂

Oregon Coast Range Wedding

Are you sitting down dear friends and readers? If not I suggest you pull up a chair, perhaps grab a beverage, this post is going to be a LONG one. It is going to be a long one for a few reasons. The first being this wedding was full of all the things that make for good wedding photos, lots of details, a great looking couple crazy in love, excited and exuberant friends & family, and last but not least an amazing location.

It took years of planning, tons of work, and incredible dedication, but Sarah, Layton & their families pulled of a stunning event. Everything from the parking signs to the glowing lights was beautiful. From the invitations to the dancing shoes, all of it was amazing.

And of course at the heart of this event was a bride and groom, that glowed with love. It was so fun to capture these two love birds together.
