Robin’s Family is Awesome!

You might remember a while back I posted a contest as part of the bigger “Giving is Awesome” movement back in the winter. The winner was the super awesome Robin & family. Well after sickness, family schedules, weather and a few other hurdles we FINALLY got to do the session.  Let me tell you it was worth the wait, we had so much fun. Robins family is not only adorable but sweet and kind. All of these folks now have a special place in my heart.

There are many, many favorites from this session.

Here are a few so far I just had to share:

bluewall

See, I told you they were rad.

awsomepeek-26

We had some rocking light there at the end of the session, thanks guys for being patient with me while I set this up!

redvanthingthere was allot of laughter this session.

bluewallkiddoand really most of the laughter is due to this little dude. I am pretty sure it is in the little brother job description to be outrageous.

bradyyo

from left to right; sassy pants, sassy pants jr, little dude, mama & papa.

4ofgirls

just the girlies.

familyrock

and just the last two of the whole family. I just adore these guys!

Robin thanks again for doing the amazing work you do for our community. You and your whole family rocks! I have big ideas for your album and prints! I will have the whole gallery for you very soon.

May I introduce Mr. Charming

When this little guy’s mama called me last month to set up a session I have to admit we do not go over a whole lots of details. I knew Mr. Charming would be 4 months old, and that they lived in the St. Johns area. She neglected to tell me he was the most charming adorable little bundle of joy in the Portland Metro area! This little guy stole my heart, and was so good for me! 4 months is a tricky age, sometimes they love new people and sometimes they cry if you look at them the wrong way. This little dude was the perfect little model, it is going to be really hard to get the gallery down to a manageable size. I had the hardest time just choosing what photos to blog!

Just take a look at some of my favorites so far:

nashpeeky-11

I dare you not to smile back.

Oh and check it out, he also likes to show off for the ladies. While setting up for this shot he rolled over for the first time!

bwsmiles

smoochable no?

nashpeeky-14

oh how I love the cute little baby toes.

green-chair

this is where the little dude showed no fear. I wanted to use this cool green chair, and well he wanted to launch off it and get inside my camera. 😉

bwstairsset

Have I mentioned the whole family is adorable? they were so sweet together.

sillysmile

gah that goofy smile kills me!

yellow-wall-set

Such a lovely family, so fun and full of life. This happy yellow wall worked out perfectly for them.

nashpeeky-27

and this one has to be my favorite family shot. I know he is eating his overalls, but they way mama & daddy are loving on him melts me.

D&M I had a fantastic time with the three of you! I will have the whole gallery for you very soon.  I am so glad you found me and it all worked out so well. Mr. Charming is an absolute dream baby, I can not wait to see him grow over the next year.  Lots of fun stuff planned for you guys! And I know you are excited to show off some images to your friends and family, so I would love to offer you a little comment challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in a mini wallet brag book filled with images of your little dude.  So leave some love folks!

Whitney & Michael’s amazingly beautiful downtown wedding. {1 of 2}

You might remember Whitney & Michael from their fun and romantic engagement session earlier in the month. I also posted a quick teaser a few weeks ago but now I am back with a full on post full of fun images from their big day. The event was over the top beautiful. Held and the fantastic Benson Hotel it was all about downtown elegance.  Every little detail was well though out and beautiful. I had a wonderful time and was so happy to come out with some great images. You can tell it was a great wedding when you can not wait to edit and start working on the album!

Here are a few of my favorites from the first part of our day.

dress

Whitney’s dress was elegant and gorgeous. Just like our bride!

Whitney was the perfect bride, calm elegant and beautiful. She almost made my job too easy.

Michael was also a fabulous groom to work with.  Super laid back. I got reports from my lovely Second Shooter for this wedding (the lovely and talented Jen) that the boys were great and a bit of a crack up.

whitmichaelwedding119

She had a rough job hanging out with smart and handsome doctors all afternoon. 😉

girls

whitmichaelwedding146

The girls were also fantastic.  Every one beautiful and witty.  Most of the girls met in dental school and own their own successful practices so you know they are on top of it all.  🙂

After everyone was primped & pressed we set up a first look outside the beautiful hotel.

firstlook

I can not tell you how lucky we were to get such great weather in the beginning of April.  Michael & Whitney were absolutely visions, and a joy to photograph.

whitmichaelwedding128

I had a wonderful time, just look at these two! As usual I have far too many for one post, I will be back with more later. I am thinking a slide-show is in order too! If you would like to see the full gallery when it is ready leave a comment below so I can capture your email and notify you when it is all ready to go.

Whitney & Micheal I had a great time getting to know you and your whole family at the wedding. Thanks again for choosing me to be a part of your special day. I will have much more for you very soon! I have some great stuff from your ceremony, great details and even more downtown portraits to come. I can not wait to get working on your album.

Last one I promise! {Jarett & Julie a Texas wedding}

Ok I know, I just need to wrap up Jarett & Julies awesome super fun fantastic wedding. I can not possibly fit it all in! So I have picked out a few select more from their first official “Mr & Mrs” session, and then just mushed the rest together in a slide show!

Here are a few of my favs:
txwedding167

In an ally way across from their venue we stumbled upon these great doors. I assume they were some kind of art instillation. All done by a different artist. What ever they were, they were cool, and great for some different photos.

txwedding170

Jarett liked this one the most, hmmm no idea why. 😉

As soon as I saw this huge neon boot the first day we were there I knew I was going to use it the day of the wedding. I mean you just do not get a whole lot more Texas than this!

funnyfaces

These two had me cracking up the whole time, they are just so great together.

This is the hotel they went to after the reception. I love the huge porch, so very southern!

Jarett & Julie thanks again for having me be part of your special day. I will have the whole set for you very soon!

Now on to the slide show! Lots of fun here.

I’m leaving on a jet plane…

forblogfall

It’s true, in the morning I will be up crazy early to head down south for a very special wedding.  Thanks to the recommendation of some wonderful local clients (the cute family above) I have been hired to shoot a wedding in Texas! I am so excited!

After visiting this little blog to see sneak peeks of bellies and growing babies Jarett & Julie asked me to shoot their wedding, and I could not be more flattered. I am excited to travel and meet the whole extended family. I am also really excited about the photographic possibilities down south. We will be in a super cute little quaint small town smack in the middle of the state.  How cool would it be to put my bride & Groom next to a huge cactus! Anyway the possibilities for creativity are endless, and I can not wait.

If you are looking to book a session or wedding please be patient with me. I will be back on Monday and do all my responding via email and phone then. I will also be away from facebook & twitter *gasp*! If you need to get a hold of me I will have some phone access, but really if you can wait until Monday that is your best bet!

so untill then friends, have a marvelouse weekend! I will have lots to show for my self next week!
