Pretty Paper Pictures

I got the sweetest email not tooo long ago. You might remember Aimee & Dan from one of my favorite 2009 weddings, or from their engagement/family session in the summer prior. Either way Aimee, Dan and Ethan are awesome, so when Dan emailed me to ask about a family session this year I was 100% in. You see the traditional first wedding anniversary is celebrated with a “paper” gift, so Dan wanted to give his lovely bride the gift of photos. How cute is that!

So we headed out to the streets of lovely Downtown Sherwood, OR to see what we could find, have some laughs and take some photos. Here are a few of my favorites so far:

It’s been a whole year, and clearly everyone has had a good one. Check them out, even more adorable then ever.

Ethan is a seriously handsome kid, and sweet to boot.

I love the bond between mother and son, especially with these two.

Our love birds, cute as ever.

The whole family.

We also had some silliness you see.

Aimee & Dan thanks again for meeting  up with me and strolling around downtown Sherwood with me. I had a great time hanging out with you all and catching up. You all are the best. And of course you know how I love my comment challenges right, so lets have another one shall we? If you can get 30 people to comment on this little post I will throw in a cute little wallet brag book on the house. That should cover part of the “paper” right. 🙂

Mr. Charming The boy!

I can not believe this little guy is almost 2! We started out with a wee little guy way back when, then a crawler, then a toddler. Now he is all BOY! Keeping me on my game, and running the show Mr. Charming is back and more adorable than ever. I just adore this whole family, especially Mr. N. We had good time running around a local nature preserve and chatting about how the wold has changed in the last year.

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

Check out his “shovel” he is crafty this one. 🙂

Ah that sweet smile is so worth it!

As all “almost 2 year olds” Mr. N is go go go!

And one last image of the whole family. Thanks again guys for coming out to my side of town and romping around the park with me. I had a great time seeing you all again! Mr. N is huge these days, and still just as charming. 🙂  I will of course have the whole set for you all very soon.

Erica + Mike + Banks!

You may remember a certain little squishy faced baby last year, well baby Banks is having his first birthday! He is such an adorable big boy, I can not believe it was just last year we were doing his first session! Banks being one is not the only reason to celebrate, there is also a very important wedding of a certain Mommy & Daddy coming up next month! So to celebrate all the big events and joy going around we arranged another session this time outside in the beautiful fall weather. Erica & Mike were great sports tromping through the weeds and bugs with me. We had a great time, and Banks ran his little tush off. Here are a few of my favorites from our first year/family/engagement session.

Check out the big birthday boy!

The whole lovely family, smiles all around. 🙂

Erica and Mike are pretty adorable just on their own.

Banks is even cuter these days, who knew that was possible.

We had fun running around can you tell.

I can not wait to shoot their wedding next month!

I just know it is going to be a super fun event.

And one last shot of the star of the show. Gah that smile kills me!

Erica & Mike thanks for joining me out on the trail, and for the Latte! You guys are the best. I am so looking forward to your wedding next month! Of course I know how you love the blog challenges. If you can get 30 comments on the blog I will throw in your choice of an 11×14 or another set of wallet brag books. 🙂 So leave some love people.

sweetness all around…

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of meeting a new family. They found me through friend of theirs who’s photos I did last year. You might remember these two adorable blond girls.  I knew we were going to have fun if they were friends with the P family, what I did not know was how amazingly beautiful these little blond girls would be. There must be something in the water in Washougal Washington, because wow, they make some beautiful kiddos up there! We lucked into some great weather and a fun time at the local beach. Even the family dog (a cute blond lab of course) got in the mix.

Take a look at a few of my favorites so far.

What did I say, beautiful girls and beautiful family!

We had some fun can you tell.

Meet little sister, her eyes kill me.

Meet big sister, her smile melts me heart.

We even snuck a few in of Mom & Dad being cute. 🙂

Like I said beautiful light, and a lovely family. The beach was amazing that night!

Check her out, girlie knows how to have fun.

🙂

And one last image of the whole family.

Lynn thanks for meeting me and sharing your family for the evening. I had a blast, your girls are so wonderful! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I have so much more to show you very soon! Of course as new clients I would love to throw in a blog challenge. How about this, if you can get 25 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in a darling little mini wallet brag book. Perfect for showing off 2 adorable little girls. 🙂 SO leave some love people!

One is fun!

I love working with family’s, especially when they are adorable and up for anything. It is also especially fun when I get to shoot around my own home town. The G family contacted me a few months back. Karen had seen my work up in a local coffee shop and wanted to schedule a session to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday. We lucked into a break in the rainy weather last weekend and had a great time shooting around town and their neighborhood. The whole family was lovely, but little Serena stole the show with her super sparkly eyes and delicious smile.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

See I told you they are adorable.

Miss Serena was so good for me, just look at those baby blues!

I always love a beautiful mama & baby shot.

They were champs for me sitting in a slightly soggy field.

After shooting around their neighborhood we ran down to the local University. Karen spent her undergrad years here so it was nice to visit the place and use some of the lovely spots as a back drop.

Serena is clearly excited about fall too!

She is pure adorableness!

Cheese ball of cuteness!

Little miss is such a character! And one last shot of the whole family. Karen thanks for braving the weather and coming out to meet me. I had a great time with your whole family! I hope you all had a lovely birthday weekend, and Serena got some more cake! I will have the whole set for you very soon! For now lets get going on a blog challenge shall we? If you can get 25 people to comment on this post there is a free mini wallet brag book in it for you on the house. So leave some love people.
