because my local community rocks

Ok lets be honest for a bit, growing up I could not WAIT to get out of my small town. I was ready to live in a big city, with big things to to. Well I left, I traveled, I lived in the city, and in the end I came back. For many reasons it is still weird, but I do love my little town. So when I was asked to photograph an event here in my own hood I was happy to do it. The Camellia Festival was a great day, celebrating art and culture  in the pacific rim. The Chehalem Cultural Center is a great venue for it too, we are lucky to have such a great space with such a dedicated staff in our little town.

emily + christopher = love

I mean really, me with a big camera, good looking couple and beautiful evening light, my job just does not get much better.

Emily & Christopher are planning a mid-west wedding back home, but wanted Portland to be the backdrop of their engagement photos. We started out in one of their favorite local parks, then strolled down to NW 23rd. I had a great time chatting with these two and just enjoying the beautiful night.

cute & chubby just my kind of boy

Yet again the N family met up with me for photos of their adorable boys. It really has been my pleasure to watch this family grow. N is a super sweet & caring big brother, and new baby M is heart breaker cute. Really I could point my big camera at these people all day long. This time around we even lucked into some beautiful weather and fun spring flowers!

Enough of me blabbing, on to the photos!

Danielle, thanks again for meeting up with me and sharing your darling boys. I hope the big move is going well! I will have the whole set done for you very soon. I can not wait to see the new place here soon! I think some big prints of super cute boys are in order for the new walls!

I will just say it, I like cute babies.

I like cute babies, and I like sunny days.

I like cute babies, sunny days and nice families, so when all of those things come together at the same time I am a pretty happy girl.
