sometimes I point my big camera at my own family

Last night we planted a few things in our shiny new planter boxes… it was fun and full of dirt. The kids loved it, so I pestered them with photo taking. 🙂

Especially when I have a brand spanken fancy new camera to play with!

Here is the photographic evidence.

:)more actual clients coming up soon!

Marcy & Dylan can throw a wedding!

It really was my pleasure to capture Marcy & Dylan’s amazing and joyous wedding last month. The whole day from beginning to end was full of upbeat music, many smiles and so much love. Their ceremony was one of the most moving, entertaining & poignant I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Marcy & Dylan came up from the Bay area of California for this fun, love filled wedding at McMenamins Edgefield over labor day weekend. The whole shindig started with our couple dancing down the isle to meet each-other, and ended (for me) with the adorable couple dancing the night away in Black Berry Hall. These are my kind of people. I had so much fun taking photos, chatting up guests and even watching lighting at one point. Oh yes lighting, we literally finished the last outdoor photo when the first raindrop fell!  It was really perfect timing all day long.

I could gush more about how much I like these two, or I could get on to the photos. Lets just get onto the photos shall we 🙂

Marcy & Dylan thank you again for having me out to capture your beautiful wedding. I hope you enjoyed the the sneak peek! The full disc of images will be on it’s way to you soon.

its a small (and super cute) world…

Ok first of all I have to say what a small, small word this is. The lovely & adorable Niemeyer family found me via a photographer friend who was (lucky for me) out of town the  month of their newest babe’s birth. During our session we found out I have captured at least 2 of Dad’s colleagues families, one of Mom’s colleagues and a dear family friend of theirs is also one of my closest photographer friends in the Pacific NW. Ha what a small, small world. Beyond all of our funny and ever growing connections, I just adored working with this family. Their two older kids were sweet, funny and extremely well behaved. Baby girl was a darling and just a strikingly beautiful infant. Mom & Dad were also lovely, and great to work with. Over all I am so pleased with this session and our results. I could go on, and on, but lets get to the photos shall we!

Here are a few of my many, many favorites so far:

Jennifer & family thanks again for coming into the studio and sharing your family with me. I really loved working with you all. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole set done here shortly. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in a set of those darling brag books you guys liked. So leave a little love folks. 🙂

Sarah + Neal = Love

If I had to use one word to describe Sarah & Neal it would be adventurous. From their course studies, to their hobbies, to their philanthropic ventures (hello building Libraries in Africa!). We had no shortage of topics to chat about while we were taking some fun engagement photos at the always fun Oregon Zoo. I had such a great time getting to know these two, and I loved that they were really up for anything! I am SO looking forward to their winter wedding in downtown Portland. It really will be an amazing event.

Here are a few of my favorites from our session together:

Sarah & Neal thanks again for carving out some time for photos while you were in town. I really enjoyed getting to know you both better. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole set done for you here shortly. For now I would love to offer you two a little comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house! So leave some love folks. 🙂

Alicia’s Growing Family (& belly!)

I have some truly talented friends & colleagues. My super talented friend & owner  of Floral Design’s by Alicia is about to have her second child and asked me to capture this special time with her family and growing belly. It was also great timing as her son Egan was about to turn 4! We had a lovely time walking around my favorite wild life preserve, hunting for bugs, and taking some sun kissed photos.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Alicia thanks again for coming down to my neck of the woods. It was my pleasure to capture this exciting milestone. I can not wait to meet your baby girl in just a few short weeks. She is such a lucky lady to have such loving parents and a super cute big brother. I can not wait to capture you all again as a family of four. I hope you dug your sneak peek. I will have the whole set done for you soon.
