this is Craigan

Craigan [Craig-an]

verb:

Meaning the coupling of 2 intensely spirited & loving and people. Very uncommon but well loved in the Portland area of the State of Oregon. Often accompanied by vibrant colors, delicious food & loud music of the indie/funk rock variety. May lead into social change awareness,  group sing alongs and sweat inducing dancing.
now you know…
It was my honor to witness, capture and take part in the one and only CRAIGAN of 2012. It was in short, amazing. Full to the brim with personality & color. Every detail was well thought out and meant to reflect the couples individuality and flavor. Bright colors in the floral and details were everywhere.
In addition to Craig & Megan here are some amazing people/vendors that made the day the radness that is was:
Wedding Coordination: Amanda Kraft of Amas Veritas Events
Floral Design: Emerald Petals
Hair & Make Up: Kirstie Wight
Bridal Dress: Cocoon Silk
Groom’s Suite:
Ceremony location: Laurelhurst Park City of Portland
So onto the photos already!

Stride Family 2012

How has it been a year since I captured sweet baby Sami?! Time flies, and babies become toddlers fast! Sweet Sami is still darling, but with the last year came lots of giggles, and a very active girl. She is already not just walking but running! She was so full of energy & spunk, just how I like my baby girls. We had a great time tromping around her neighborhood park and catching up on a year and big changes. Sami made me work for her smiles, but they were so worth it.

Just check out this darling baby girl…

Suzy I am so glad it worked out, and we all got healthy enough for the session! I hope the rest of your summer goes better, and you all can enjoy the work weather sans nasty germs. 😉 I had a great time catching up with all of you. Sami is just darling as always. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. You know the drill, as always if you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a set of darling little brag books on the house for you. So leave some love for this little lady folks!

Darling Matarazzo Girls 2012

How is it possible these girls get more adorable and sweet each year? First there was a new baby, then some sweet curly haired toddlers, then real life princesses! Now these lovely girls are back and sweeter than ever. The M family recently moved to a new house closer to town, it is a beautiful place with lots of great little corners for photos, even a lovely wooded path out back! We had  a great time exploring a new space and catching up on the year. I just adore these little ladies.

On to the cute photos right!

Hil thanks again for having me into your home! It was great to see you all again. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole gallery for you very soon!

Amber & Laurel: the wedding!

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of capturing Amber & Laurels lovely afternoon wedding. It was a warm, but sweet day. The wedding & reception at one of my favorite places in the world Champoege State Park. Amber & Laurel are history lovers, and chose this historical site because of it important in Oregon history & and its beautiful green setting. Their friends & family did a wonderful job making the ceremony & reception site beautiful and personal. All the little woodland creature details were just adorable.  The food, the flowers, everything was lovely. Even Merlin the doggy was on best behavior! The ceremony was also extremely moving, perfectly showcasing the love that these two ladies share. I had such a great time capturing this one.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day…
