Sarah & Michael are married!

When I first started talking to Michael & Sarah about their wedding at the Balch Hotel the whole thing sounded just magical. They wanted to do a “Great Gatsby” inspired wedding at this amazing historic venue out in the middle of no where eastern Oregon. They wanted to create a unique & fun event for their guests, and just a few weeks ago they did just that. People showed up in great attire, and with warm hearts for this lovely couple. Every little detail was pulled off from the guest book to the stunning dress. It really was just magical. 🙂 It was my pleasure to capture this beautiful event, and hang out with this great group of people. Summer camp friends, family and neighbor’s made it a great night.

Katy’s growing family

I first met Katy in preparations for a bridal inspiration shoot I captured not too long ago. Katy is a very talented wedding planner here in town, and was amazing to work with. During the shoot she mentioned she was expecting her second baby this summer. So, being me I jumped all over her and insisted she hire me for her maternity photos. Katy is always beautiful, but I knew she would be an absolutely stunning pregnant mama. I was SO right. She is stunning, and her whole family was just adorable to work with. Little Jackson kept me on my toes, but he was so cute it was totally worth it. We had fun running around NW Portland and taking photos of this darling growing family.

Here are a few of my favorites so far…

oh baby boy cuteness

GUSH

Baby boys like this little guy make me seriously miss my own little guys early days. Meet Sammy, he was such a doll for me. Sammy is very, very loved. Sam comes with a gorgeous big sister, and super adorable mom & dad. This little guy has is made I tell ya. Seeing him & his big sister all snuggled up again made me think of my own little beasts. I even had a chance to take a few of her while Sam had a little snack & a change. I had such a fun time with this little lad and the whole family. We talked about siblings, big sisters, working from home and lots about Oregon weddings. Oh did I mention his super talented Mama also edits one of the best wedding mags in town? Yeah it was a wonderful session.

Here are a few of my many favorites so far.

Alisa thanks again for trusting me to capture your darling family. I had a great time meeting all of you. Your children are over the top adorable. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole set for you shortly!

Sarah + Drew = love

Oh, my, goodness I could say so many things about Sarah & Drew. About our talented mutual friends, or about our dancing conversations at past weddings. I could talk about how cute they are in front of the camera. Or I could talk about Sarah’s exuberance & determination in including a certain couch in the shoot I am about to show off. But… I don’t think I will.

I think I will just say that I adore these two. I love hanging out with them, I love pointing my big camera at them, and I love capturing the way they look at each-other. SO. MUCH. LOVE.

Clearly I am looking forward to their wedding in just a few short weeks, it is going to be off the charts amazing I can already tell.

Sarah & Drew thanks again for all of your energy & creativity and for being up for anything! I had so much fun with you two. Again I am totally looking forward to your wedding here in just a few short weeks. I know it will be amazing! As you know I love me some blog challenges. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog I will throw in an 11×14 on the house. SO leave some love people!

love on campus: an OSU engagement session

Third time is the charm with this engagement session! Brianna and I had to cancel & reschedule several times due to work schedules, threats of electrical storms and rain, but it finally happened. On one warm sunny day I drove down to Corvallis and finally met this lovely couple. How cute are they. Being college sweethearts they wanted do their session on the OSU campus. Being a life long Oregonian I was of course familiar with the Beavers, but I had never spent much time on this campus. I had no idea how beautiful it was! Such stunning buildings and grounds. Brianna &Jeff were perfect hosts. We had a great time wandering around campus and talking about wedding plans.

Here are a few of my favorites so far…
