auntie em loves you

I have taken photos of my little sister many, many times. In a lot of ways she was my very first subject. 🙂

This time was special, it was not just of her, but of her family. Just a few weeks ago my baby sister became a mother. Crazy, but totally natural. Little miss Amelia Grace is a very lucky girl to have 2 amazingly wonderful, loving and kind hearted parents. It was my pleasure to capture their first family photos, and spend a little solo time with my brand new baby niece.

Kate, Silas & Amelia I love you all to bits. Congratulations on your growing family. 🙂

Megan & Mitch are Married!

When I first met with Megan & Mitch we had a great time chatting over coffee about their big day. Megan told me she wanted her wedding to filled with family and fun. It was important to both of them to reflect their love for the outdoors, and their loved ones.  We had even more fun when we shot their engagement session not too long ago. When the big day came around Megan & Mitch did just what they set out to do, they had an amazing event full of loving family and adored friends. Everyone had an amazing time, and were clearly happy for this adorable couple.

Here are a few of my many, many favorites from the day

Megan & Mitch, thanks again for having me out to capture your big day. It was a pleasure to meet all of your friends & family as well! It was an amazing day, I am sure you all enjoyed the music well into the night, I know the dance floor was rocken when I left. 😉 Again it was a wonderful day and my pleasure to capture. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek! I will have the whole set done very soon. Friends & Family if you would like access to the whole gallery when it is ready please leave a comment below, and I will send you the info asap.

Brianna & Jeff are married!

I love the Oregon coast, so when ever my job gives me a chance to get my toes in the sand I jump on it. I had been looking forward to Brianna & Jeff’s Gearheart wedding all season, and it did not disappoint! They held their ceremony & dinner at the lovely McMenamins Gearhart Hotel & Sandtrap. After dinner we moved on to Jeff’s grandparent’s beach house down the street for dessert and dancing. The whole day was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. Just like our couple, the wedding had tons of character and laughter. I had a great time capturing every thing from sunset walks on the beach to a few games of cups with the old college crews. It was seriously such a fun night.

On to the images already! I hope you are comfortable. I have a TON to share

Adorable Aryana Sofia!

I know I say it all the time, but the wedding community is full of so many amazingly lovely people. Perhaps it is because our job involves working with a celebration of love? What ever it is, I love my colleagues. I especially love my colleagues when they refer me to their clients, but it is the ultimate honor when they  trust me enough to photograph their own families. I captured Katy, a local wedding planner with Bridal Bliss and her adorable belly not too long ago. It was a fun session, so when she asked me to come back and photograph her newborn daughter I was super excited. While little Aryana got settled down we had fun chatting about all things Portland wedding, mothering 2 little ones, and much more.  My job is pretty awesome. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorites from our session

Katy thanks again for trusting me to capture your little lady. She was an absolute doll! We will get a few of the kids together once little lady gets a bit bigger. 😉 I had a great time hanging out with you, and thank your cousin again for hosting us in her beautiful home! More images soon I promise. 🙂

Kalya + Johnny = Love

When I first met with Kayla & Johnny I asked them how they met. Kayla immediately told me the story of “The cute guy with the red cleats”. I loved it! It seemed only fitting to celebrate the love that soccer brought together, by starting their engagement session at the Portland Timbers stadium. We had a great time running around the field, getting yelled at by a grounds keeper only once, and taking some fun & playful images. After the field we ventured out into the NW pearl district then onto nibble cupcakes. It is kind of ridicules how much fun we had.

Here are a few of my many favorites

Kayla & Johnny thanks for all of the fun ideas, and for being up for ANYTHING! I had so much fun working with you. My hubby also thanks you for the last stop of the cupcake shop, he loved the left overs. 😉 It was such a fun night. I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peek. I am so looking forward to your wedding next year! For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house.

So leave some love people!
