thank you for an amazing 2012!

Tonight I finished my last wedding of 2012 (and it was an amazing one!) and could not help but reflect on what an awesome year it has been. I want to really thank all of you who made 2012 such an amazing year for emily g photography! For now I am going to say thank you, unplug & head to the Oregon Coast with friends and family for a few days off. If you need me I will be back to get things going with new energy in 2013!(Thursday Jan 3rd to be more specific)

Here are a few of the many, many, many images I captured in 2012 that still make me smile…

Matt & Alyssa are married!

I knew after Matt & Alyssa’s epicly fun and quirky engagement session their wedding would be a good one. I was so right, this couple did not disappoint. The day was full of fun, love and brimmed over with personality. Matt & Alyssa were married at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse just last month. We lucked into a lovely break in the weather and had a sweet mild day to shoot in. Alyssa took DIY to a whole new level with hundreds of paper cranes, beautiful details and of course the floral. To be fair Alyssa is training to be a floral designer so she really knows what she is doing. All of their friends and family clearly had a wonderful time, and were great to capture. So much love on this day, it was wonderful to whitness.

Here are a few of my many, many favorites from the day…

Matt & Alyssa thanks again for having me out to capture your big day. It really was my pleasure. I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon! It was great working with you two, and meeting all of your friends & family. I hope you have enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole set done here shortly.

Adorable Miss Hannah

Meet Miss Hannah, she is ahhhh-dorable. You know I am always a sucker for all shades of redhead, but pair that with a crazy cute little pony tail and killer smile and I am a goner. Little diva came into the studio recently for a session. She was so much fun! I had a great time playing with her and her pretty mama.

Here are a few from our time together…

Dawn thanks again for coming down to the studio and sharing your sweet baby girl with me. She is a DOLL. I am almost done with the whole set and have so many more to show you. For now I would love to offer you a blog contest. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a darling set of brag books. So leave some love people. 🙂

Jenna & Chase are married!

Ohhhh, EEEEM, Geeee what can I say about Jenna & Chase.

I adore these two. Working with them through all of out planning meetings & of course the epic engagement session  has been so fun, so I had big hopes for their wedding. When the day came I was not disappointed, even through the wind and the rain Jenna & Chase pulled of a beautiful event full of warmth and personal touches. They carefully planned the whole day to show off their new home of Portland to all of their out of town friends & family. From my view they did an amazing job, and everyone had a wonderful time, even if we ended up with more than our share of “liquid sunshine”. They also hired a killer team to pull off all the details, from the perfect attire, hair & make up, to the food and table decor every detail was impeccable. I also have to say Jenna and Chase had one of THE most fun dance-floors to capture of all season. I mean really, who else turns grandma leaving the reception into a conga line and later takes the rainy day and incorporates it into the crazy dance floor. I LOVE these people. I have a feeling umbrella dancing is going to be the next big thing. 🙂

Here are a few of vendors that helped with the killer day:

Wedding & Reception Venue: World Forestry Center

Hotel: the nines

Hair: Tony Westenhaver owner of Tonto Salon in Denver

Makeup: Kirstie Wight

Her Dress: Charlotte’s Bridal

His Suite: Men’s Warehouse (Vera Wang collection)

Rings: San Francisco Jewelry Mart (wholesaler)

Floral & Table Design: Emerald Petals Pdx

Coordination & Event Design: Stephanie Major with Petalos

On to the photos!!!

Jenna & Chase thanks again for picking me to capture your big day. I can not say enough how much I enjoyed working with you two. Jenna snake bite post holidays are SO happening! It really was my pleasure to witness your day of love, and be a part of that epic dance-floor. Jenna I love your face, your smile kills me and always forces me to smile back. Chase personify gentlemanly class, it was so great to have you in-front of my lens. I am so stinken happy for the two of you. I hope you have enjoyed your sneak peek, I will have the whole (HUGE!) set for you very shortly. As usual friends and family if you would like to see the whole set when it is ready please leave a comment below. It was lovely meeting and capturing every one of you, you all rocked!
