    Super Fun Portland Wedding {Amanda & Greg sneak peek}

    Once again I tried and tried but could not possibly keep this to one post. This is the first of two posts on Amanda & Greg’s super fun Portland wedding.

    Amanda and Greg got married at a wonderful intimate venue that was new to me The Lion and the Rose Victorian Bed & Breakfast Inn. Such a great venue with lots of fun details. The wedding was very small and intimate with mostly out of town family and close friends. I have to admit I love the small weddings, it really gives you the chance to get to know people.

    Amanda got ready in one of the Inn’s beautiful rooms.

    Her dress and shoes fit the delicate vintage theme of the venue perfectly.  A big thanks to the Inn owners, they were so nice to help me rearrange their place to get the dress set up!

    and of course the shoes :) I always love the shoes.

    And the rings!

    Our beautiful bride, isn’t she just stunning in that dress!

    Amanda was walked down the isle by her super sweet step-dad. Quite a character that one, you will see quite a few of him and his “wild boys” when I do the reception post. :)

    The Ceremony was beautiful, short and sweet but very moving. I do believe if I remember right it was preformed by the father of the groom. The Garden at the Lion and Rose is beautiful and intimate. Perfect for this small wedding.

    After the wedding we did lots of family formal shots, I always end with the “fun” ones. And man were they fun! This group is full or characters for sure.

    After the wedding we did a few with just the bride & groom. You can tell they were so happy to be married and moving on to the party part of the event. I love this little moment here I caught, they are so sweet together.

    And of course I had to showcase the great building. I love all the details.

    Amanda & Greg, thanks again for choosing me to be a part of your big day. I had a great time getting to know you and your families. I can not wait to do the “day after” session! It is going to be lots of fun.

    I will get to more of the Bride & Groom images with post #2 coming later this week.  Take it from me the reception images of the “wild boys” alone are worth coming back! Any friends or family members reading this please do leave a comment on this post. If you do I can capture your email and let you know when the full  gallery is all up and ready to go!

    Andy and Asumi: beautiful intimate downtown wedding {wedding sneak peek}

    When Andy’s mom called me a few short weeks ago something inside me said “land this wedding”. From the first time we spoke I was excited about Andy & Asumi’s big day. The wedding was very small (not over 30 people) and intimate, but incredibly classy and modern. The groom’s family was traveling from Medford (Southern Oregon), and the Bride’s family was coming all the way from Japan. One reason I love weddings is they are all about the joining of two families, and the joining of these two was simply beautiful to be a part of.

    We started the day at Hotel 50 in downtown Portland. Here are a few of my favorite “getting ready” shots so far:

    After everyone was ready to go I hopped in the limo with Asumi and her parents to go to the church. She was so calm! I was impressed.

    The Ceremony was beautiful and the little church was very charming.

    After the ceremony we did some family and bridal party shots. I try and make them fun :)

    And then back into the limo to head back to the west side for the reception luncheon.

    This absolutely cracks me up. Andy and his niece went straight for the cell phones. They were pretty funny teasing each other.

    A few more “couple only” shots in the beautiful Pearl District in Portland.

    The reception was held at the Sungari Pearl Restaurant, DELISH! What a great place for a small party.

    I always love to find creative ways to do the ring shots and the restaurant had tons of opportunities.

    The whole family seemed so happy about this great couple tying the not. Every relaxed and had a great time just talking to eachtoehr. It was a very laid back reception luncheon, I had a great time just snapping away.

    Andy, Asumi & Family thank you again for asking me to be a part of your big day. I had a great time meeting all of you and can not wait to show you all the rest of the photos. I hope your travels home all went well, however long the journey was.  If you area friend or family reading this please leave a comment on this post so I can email you the password to the whole gallery when it is ready.

    yet another beautiful Portland area wedding. {wedding sneak peek}

    Oh what to say about the wonderful couple of Chad and Sara? Such a sweet couple. I enjoyed their wedding from beginning to end. It was a beautiful day, at a wonderful location. Sara’s family has a Christmas tree farm just north of Vancouver, Washington. The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold. The wedding was fabulous down to the last cupcake.  Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

    A very kind family friend let us borrow this amazing vintage Chevy for the group shots. How rad is that!

    Just look at these two, so beautiful!

    We also spent some time in the Christmas Trees, you know it is a family field you have to love that!

    Chad and Sara you two are so great. I hope you have an amazing time in Jamaica! Thank you again for letting me be a part of your amazing day.

    When the wedding is so cool you can not do just one post… {Wedding Photography Portland Oregon}

    I previously posted about Coral & Ben’s super fun wedding. I just had to throw out a few more images to share. I had not even gotten to the reception! Here are a few more of my favorites from the reception aka the party.

    Have I said how beautiful this couple is? And stylie too!

    Like I said every little detail was just beautiful.

    Look who caught the Garder and the Bouquet! They *might* have had some help from the taller family members.

    This couple made even the traditional family shots fun!

    They had the most detailed beautiful cake. Everyone was impressed though these two were a little more anxious to get a bite.

    After cake there was even a bit of dancing. Not quite sure about the headgear, but that little one could pull any look off he is so cute.

    And of course all the party games, yeah fun was had by all!

    I know I have said it before but the word for Coral & Ben’s wedding was fun! I had a blast capturing it all and can not wait to show you all the rest. Coral and Ben thank you again for letting me capture your day. Yet again any wedding guests or family members please leave a comment below and I will capture your email and let you know when the whole gallery is ready!
