And for something completely different, we did some photos of the whole family down the road at the most amazing setting. I have had my eye on this side road for a while now, so when Mr. Chubby’s mama suggested it I jumped at the chance.

Stunning location, beautiful family, does it get any better? It also helps these are 3 of my most favorite people too.

This little dude cracked me up. The kiddo is so cute! He made me work for these smiles but man it was worth it.

Miss S was so sweet. Quite the princess in her tutu and leopard print shoes. I am going to have to track down a pair of those for my little one. I love it when kids bring the personality, and boy she had loads of it.

We had fun picking grapes from Grandma’s field. I loved the sun flair here with the perfect setting sun light.

And this one I just had to post. It reminds me of one I noticed in grandma’s house from a year ago.  Little dude’s face just cracked me up!

Annie I had a great time meeting you guys over the weekend. Your kiddos are adorable, and your whole family was so great. I also enjoyed the bottle of wine with dinner thanks! I will have the entire set for you very soon. I am saving a few of my very favorites of the two of them together in case they make it to the holiday cards. I don’t want to ruin the surprise! I am a little bias but she is just adorable right?!

October is fully booked, I am almost booked up for November weekends as well. I am excited to meet some more new families and seniors this time of year. The weather has been great this fall and the colors are nothing short of stunning out there. It has been great to shoot in. Another thing making me happy these days are all the holiday cards ordering coming in. If you have not seen the templates you can find them by clicking here. They are coming back from the printers looking great! Speaking of I should get on it and order some of my own .

I love her crazy mop of hair first thing in the morning.

Someone is still insisting on wearing sundresses even though the weather is so not summer anymore. I let her have one last weekend with her beloved frilly pink summer dresses and bare feet, but only in the house. Soon they will be packed away and toes covered with warm socks.

On the phone with her Uncle River. She loves to talk on the phone. Between her master of the eye roll at an early age and this phone love I fear for her pre-teen years already.

My sweet husband carves anything and every thing he can get his hands on. For the last few years he has been on a soapstone kick. This piece is for me I love it when he has his creative juices flowing, even if does make a mess while he is working.

Hope you all are doing well and not being hit too hard by the start of the cold/flu season. Here is to warm hot coco and germ free homes!

Despite the random warm weather we have gotten over the weekend fall is here folks. Time for the leaves to fall and the sweaters to come out. I have to admit fall is my favorite time of year! I love the colors, the crisp air, the warm apple cider, all of it.

I am a big geek for everything fall. And of of my favorite parts is family photo sessions. People always want to come together and capture some special family time to share with others over the holidays. And well I have the best job in the world, so I get to capture those moments.

Fall is here and my calender is starting to fill up. I only have 2 session dates left for October, and a few more for November. If you or your family are interested in family or kids photos before the holidays now is the time to set it up!

I promised his parents a little peek today and man it was hard to choose. Way too many of this cute little guy to show off. So here are a few of my favorites so far:

Just look at that smile! It was almost too easy with a smile like that.

This little dude is going to be an early walker I can already tell. He LOVES to stand up.

Baby L is a lucky little man too, just look at his gorgeous parents! Sweet too, we had lots of fun.

And like any baby when he got a little cranky we stripped him down, ahhh cures the hot day blues!

Ok this last one i had to throw in because it completely cracks me up.  I am not sure if he was starting to teethe or if he was just board but he got a little obsessed at one point with eating my basket. This shot kills me!

Beth & Colby I had a great time with the three of you, even in the heat. Thanks for letting me spend some time with your little guy. So in the beginning of June we trekked out to a random location one of the ladies knew of and took some really fun photos.

This location is not your normal family setting. I just love all the graffiti and wild colors. I am pretty sure all the skater kids that usually rule the area thought we were all crazy taking our small children out there. But we are all geeks that love to find those out there crazy places, even if we do have to dodge skate boards and construction to get the shot.

No really here are a few of me in action another photographer friend took of me.

I am not sure if this is a location I would take a client to, as it is pretty rough but I do LOVE the non traditional. If you or someone you know is looking for some FUN and non traditional family or kids portraits call me soon. My summer schedule is starting to fill up, but I am always up for that next cool location. As a Family and Kids photographer in the Portland area I know there are even more great spots out there. If you have a great spot let me know! If it is really great I might even throw in a free 10×13 with a booked session to the client (new or returning) who lets me in on the secret. It does not have to be a graffiti covered wall, it can be a cool mural in a back ally, a building with some great stained glass, or even a over look of the perfect view of a city. Little L was one of the sweetest little chubs I have ever met. Just look at those lips, out of control cute. I have had a hard time narrowing down the set for the peek but here are a few of my favs so far.

Man we worked hard for these smiles, at just 5 weeks old they are hard to come by, but so worth it!

Can you tell where she gets her beautiful looks. I always love the mother and child shots, especially when they turn out so serene.

The whole family was so sweet.

You can tell this baby is well loved.

M&C I had a wonderful time hanging out with you guys. Even if the kiddos did pee and poop on everything possible. It was such a funny afternoon, I hope the girls rested for you that night. I will have a peek for miss E up very soon. I can not wait to share both sets with you guys!

Yep Baby S is 6 months old and just a sweet. As part of my babies first year plan I get to have regular photo play dates with him as he gets bigger.

I just love watching them grow.

We got to hang out with the whole family this time, it was a little bit cold but we lucked into some great weather.

As usual Baby S’s big brother and big sister stole the show at points. They are so cute in their own right I just had to point my camera their way.

Baby S was a doll, and like all babies he was much more happy in mamas arms. Can you blame him?

A it was lovely to see your baby boy and the whole family again. I can not wait to see how big he gets over another 6 months. I will have the whole set for you soon. The whole family so so great, you can tell this little one is very loved.

Her eyes are also beautiful, I have a feeling this one is just going to get more and more stunning.

We had a great time stomping around the Pearl District, such great textures there. I am pretty sure this is a garage door, but only the Pearl District would have one this cool.

and this one I had to include, because it completely cracks me up. I think this was a mid giggle bubble blow, what ever daddy was doing it was highly entertaining.
