    another amazingly beautiful soon to be mama {Portland Oregon Maternity Photography}

    I am one lucky girl, I had not one but two amazingly beautiful maternity clients this last week. I have already posted about Aubrey, and now it is Shanon’s turn. Shanon is not only beautiful but very kind & sweet. She and her husband Jory (I hope I am spelling that right!) absolutely glowed while talking about the new little.  I can tell this kiddo is going to be very loved.

    Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    This one was Jory’s idea, I hope I pulled off the look he had in his head. :)

    See how sweet they are together.

    Again Shanon was up for anything. The window light in their house was just perfect for us too.

    They have a beautiful home as well. Lots of art and detail everywhere. They have done an amazing job restoring the place on their own.

    Giving is Awesome!

    Help me give away 1K worth of photography!

    hatcoat-for-blog2

    You know someone.

    You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

    You know someone. I guarantee it.

    I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $1000 worth, to be exact. I will be giving away a full session, a beautiful custom designed coffee table book with images from their session, a 5×7 bordered proof set, and the kicker, they get a CD of their images with personal printing rights!  These items sold separately are worth over One Thousand Dollars, but it is my gift to one special family this season. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

    Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $150 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

    The rules:

    * You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

    * The nominee must reside in Oregon. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

    * You must e-mail me the full story : emily[at]emilygphotography.com

    The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

    This is a country wide project as well, with a bunch of other photographers, if you are one of my lovely out of state readers please click HERE to see if a photographer close to you is participating.

    Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

    With love,

    perfection at 9 days old {Portland Oregon Newborn Photography}

    I love all of my clients, but I have to admit the tiniest ones always steal my heart. This little guy was no exception.  It had been a few months since my last newborn and I was itching to get my hands on a teeny tiny one.

    Meet little Mr. A, isn’t he just delicious!

    He was just so good for me.

    newbie-12

    Even a smile!

    newbie-14

    He was pretty happy to be in daddy’s strong hands can you tell. His eyes were just sparkling.

    newbie-18

    He slept so well for me, even though I kept moving him around. Really this is why we do newborns in the first two weeks, while they are still all curly and sleepy.

    And just one of the whole family. They seem to be settling into being a new Mommy and Daddy pretty well :)

    A & O it was a pleasure to meet you and your perfect little boy. I can not wait to show you the entire set. I had a wonderful time, thanks for letting me rearrange your furniture to get these, you have such a beautiful home. And with that I would love to offer you a comment challenge. If you can get 30 comments on this post I would be happy to give you $25 off a set of holiday cards or birth announcements. I can not wait to see these in print!

    I will have the whole set for you soon, enjoy that beautiful little man.
