    Location, Location, Location

    A little over a month ago I had the pleasure of attending a get together with some other Portland area Children’s Photographers. Fun ladies for sure. We all belong to the same photography forum and try to help each other our from time to time. I just love working with other photographers. I think it is the best way to learn and stretch my self as an artist to be surrounded by so many creative people.

    So in the beginning of June we trekked out to a random location one of the ladies knew of and took some really fun photos.

    This location is not your normal family setting. I just love all the graffiti and wild colors. I am pretty sure all the skater kids that usually rule the area thought we were all crazy taking our small children out there. But we are all geeks that love to find those out there crazy places, even if we do have to dodge skate boards and construction to get the shot.

    No really here are a few of me in action another photographer friend took of me.

    I am not sure if this is a location I would take a client to, as it is pretty rough but I do LOVE the non traditional. If you or someone you know is looking for some FUN and non traditional family or kids portraits call me soon. My summer schedule is starting to fill up, but I am always up for that next cool location. As a Family and Kids photographer in the Portland area I know there are even more great spots out there. If you have a great spot let me know! If it is really great I might even throw in a free 10×13 with a booked session to the client (new or returning) who lets me in on the secret. It does not have to be a graffiti covered wall, it can be a cool mural in a back ally, a building with some great stained glass, or even a over look of the perfect view of a city. So email or call me today, if I love the location it just might be the back drop of your next wall hanging! Happy location hunting!

    Beautiful Baby E {baby sneak peek}

    Like I said yesterday this last weekend I had the pleasure of spending my Sunday afternoon with two adorable cousins. Miss L had her sneak peek yesterday and today is the beautiful miss E’s turn. Miss E is almost 3 months old and full of fun little facial expressions. I loved capturing them all.

    Just look at that face, such a sweet baby. We had to work a bit hard for this smile but man it was worth it. This one loves to be high up in the air. I am thinking future skydiver maybe. :)

    I also got to meet her mommy and daddy. They were so sweet, you can tell she is treated like the princess she is. Her look in this one cracks me up. I have a feeling daddy is going to see this one again when she is a teen.

    You can see where she gets her killer starkly eyes for sure.

    I just loved her eyes and pouty mouth. I am betting she will be quite the little lady with those killer eye lashes.

    And of course I had to get those cute little toes in there.

    Miss E it was wonderful to meet you and your beautiful cousin. I still can not believe the two of you managed to soil every surface in the house. It was quite impressive, but that is how baby sessions go. Mom & Dad I can not wait to show you all the rest! Thanks for inviting me down south to meet all of you!

    Baby S is 6 months old! {baby sneak peek}

    Anyone remember these delicious chubby cheeks perfect baby blues?

    Yep Baby S is 6 months old and just a sweet. As part of my babies first year plan I get to have regular photo play dates with him as he gets bigger.

    I just love watching them grow.

    We got to hang out with the whole family this time, it was a little bit cold but we lucked into some great weather.

    As usual Baby S’s big brother and big sister stole the show at points. They are so cute in their own right I just had to point my camera their way.

    Baby S was a doll, and like all babies he was much more happy in mamas arms. Can you blame him?

    A it was lovely to see your baby boy and the whole family again. I can not wait to see how big he gets over another 6 months. I will have the whole set for you soon. While you are waiting I have a little challenge for you. If you can get 25 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in a leather wallet album filled with images from our session.
