    Keeping me on my toes! {Wilsonville Child & Family Photography}

    I had a great time with two beautiful sisters and their parents this week. Saying these girls are cute is an understatement. R and E were full of fun and hilarious the entire session. Even if it was a bit cold out. I had a blast chasing down these two and teasing them into smiling for me. I like to think of my kids sessions as play dates, and this one really was.  We ran all over a local park and found all sorts of hidden treasures. I can not wait to finish the entire set.

    I had a really hard time picking, but here are a few of my favs so far:

    This is Ms E. She likes to make up songs and talk about boogers, that’s my kind of girl!

    petersonpeek-14

    And this beautiful young lady is Miss R. She kept me on my toes with her sharp whit, she is a smart one for sure!

    petersonpeek-11

    These two really do have fun together. Some times siblings bicker during a session, not these two they were great for me the whole time. I loved watching them together.

    And the whole family. Even Mom & Dad are beautiful, it is almost not fair. I loved the dissipating fog here too, with the bright colors. It is early winter in Oregon for sure.

    Someone loves her big sister can you tell. :)

    And this one I absolutely had to post. It really does capture our morning, and completely cracks me up!

    I had a wonderful time chasing after these two!

    Christi thanks so much for calling me to set it all up and being flexible with the weather. I will have the whole set for you very soon. Lots more fun stuff to come. I also thought I would throw in another blog challenge.  If you can get 30 people to post comments on this entry I will give you $25 off a set of holiday cards.

    Beautiful Belly {Portland Oregon Maternity Photography}

    Oh how I have been missing the bellies lately. It has been a while since I had the pleasure of doing a maternity session and I have to admit when Amber called me to schedule hers I was excited to point my lens at her belly. Amber is a sweet heart to say the least, and she was a joy to have in front of my camera.

    Here are a few of my favorites so far, and really truly it was hard to pick.

    cute kids + amazing location + stunning fall colors = happy emily {Portland Oregon Kids Photography, sneak peek}

    I am always excited about new locations, and last weekend was no exception. When I got a call asking if I had time for a kids session at a beautiful local winery I was excited to see the place. We walked around Sunday evening for just under 2 hours and I think I could have shot for at least 2 more hours with all the beautiful buildings and locations there.  Oh and it also helped that my subjects were two of the cutest little kids I have had all season. :)

    So for their Mom I am posting a quick little sneak peek. It was hard to just pick a few, I am so looking forward to finishing the whole set very soon!

    Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    up-the-isle

    See what a beautiful location to shoot these beautiful little kids!

    mykid-106

    This little dude cracked me up. The kiddo is so cute! He made me work for these smiles but man it was worth it.

    Miss S was so sweet. Quite the princess in her tutu and leopard print shoes. I am going to have to track down a pair of those for my little one. I love it when kids bring the personality, and boy she had loads of it.

    We had fun picking grapes from Grandma’s field. I loved the sun flair here with the perfect setting sun light.

    And this one I just had to post. It reminds me of one I noticed in grandma’s house from a year ago.  Little dude’s face just cracked me up!

    Annie I had a great time meeting you guys over the weekend. Your kiddos are adorable, and your whole family was so great. I also enjoyed the bottle of wine with dinner thanks! I will have the entire set for you very soon. I am saving a few of my very favorites of the two of them together in case they make it to the holiday cards. I don’t want to ruin the surprise! And of course another web savvy family means another comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I would be happy to give you $25 off a set of holiday cards!

    lazy recovery weekend & updates

    We have been getting over a nasty cold/flu bug in our house. My poor hubby even came down with pneumonia! We are all on the mend now, but it made for a very mellow last week. I did take some photos while stuck inside and thought I should share a few snaps of my favorite little red head and other things.

    I love her crazy mop of hair first thing in the morning.

    Someone is still insisting on wearing sundresses even though the weather is so not summer anymore. I let her have one last weekend with her beloved frilly pink summer dresses and bare feet, but only in the house. Soon they will be packed away and toes covered with warm socks.

    On the phone with her Uncle River. She loves to talk on the phone. Between her master of the eye roll at an early age and this phone love I fear for her pre-teen years already.

    My sweet husband carves anything and every thing he can get his hands on. For the last few years he has been on a soapstone kick. This piece is for me :) I love it when he has his creative juices flowing, even if does make a mess while he is working.

    Hope you all are doing well and not being hit too hard by the start of the cold/flu season. Here is to warm hot coco and germ free homes!

    I am almost fully booked for the rest of 2008 for family/kids/senior portrait sessions. If you are looking to book in the near future call or email me ASAP. I have one spot left in October and just a few left in November. I am also loving how the 2008 Holiday Cards are coming out.  If you are a previous client and you want to order some cards with images filled from your Spring/Summer session let me know. The cut off date to get those ordered in time for the holidays is November 15th.

    It has been a wonderful year filled with fantastic clients, it is only October but I am already excited to see what the new year brings. This week is going to be a busy one for this little blog. I have two lovely class of 2009 ladies that have sneak peeks coming, and an awesome family session to show off. Keep checking back, I will have lots to show here!

    Popping in and out {emily g Portland Oregon Photographer}

    (my little red haired cookie monster mid giggle)

    Hello to all my wonderful clients and even you blog stalkers out there!

    This is just a quick post to let you know I have been a bit out of the communications loop in the last week. My computer contracted a particularly nasty virus and poor thing had to be wiped clean. This is the reason I back up all of my work to external hard drives and dvds the second I walk through my door after a shoot and again when I finish a gallery. Ahhh the joys of working in the digital age. So thanks to some amazing and computer geeky friends of mine I am back up and running full steam ahead. If you have emailed me in the last few days and not heard back I sincerely apologize. I am trying to catch up now, but you might just try again if you get the chance.

    I am taking off shortly for the Oregon coast to celebrate my fantastic father in law’s 60th birthday. And then home Sunday to shoot a super fun wedding. Busy busy summer around here. If anyone is still wanting to do photos this summer my schedule is starting to fill up, but I do have a bit more room. Contact me today.  I am still looking for a few fun new locations you know. I hope you all are enjoying the hot days and cool nights!
