    A wee little graduate! {baby and family sneak peek}

Just under a year ago I met sweet little baby S as part of my “Baby’s First Year” collection. I have had the pleasure of getting to see him grow over the past year and today I bring you a few of his 1 year photos. It was a bit more of a family session since the little guy was having a clingy day, but we had a great time anyway. Here are a few of my favs so far:

I was loving the contrast of the bright colors and the country fog.

    Such a cute little guy!

I am always a sucker for the “Mother and Child” images. I love this one, even if it is not exactly smiley. I love the way his mama is gently calming him down.  Nothing compares to a mother’s touch.

Big sister, just as cute as always. :)

    skpeek1year-14

And of course “Father and Daughter” images get me too. These two are so sweet together, matching freckles and all.

Handsome big brother got in on the action too.

And just for Mama we found some fall leaves! It was a little hard since most fall leaves in our area are down, but we found some!

A thanks again for braving the cold late fall morning weather. I will have the full set for you very soon. And I know you love the blog comment challenges. So here is one just for you. If you can get 30 comments on this post I will give you $25 off a set of holiday cards.

    Wilsonville Oregon Family Portraits {fun family sneak peek}

Last weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with some family members and taking some holiday photos for them. M & D own a commercial nursery and I have been itching to shoot there, talk about great light to shoot in. They also have two of the cutest soon to be 5 year olds I know. If you have seen my daughter make a silly face odds are one of these two taught her how. These guys were such hams for the camera!

We also did some shooting up at their house. I had a great time putting people I know so well in front of my lens. It’s funny it is just a piece of metal and glass, but it changes the way you look at people.

So here are a few of my favorites so far:

Hmm does he remind you of a particular peanuts character? He loves his blankie, so cute.

Mr T here was all smiles for me. And so photogenic with those sparkly eyes.

Such a ham! He had me cracking up the whole time.

    Silly boys :)

They don’t grow like weeds in this family, they grow like perennials. ;)

These two also love their great uncle, one of the men responsible for this great green house.

M & D I had a great time with you all! I hope you like some of what we got.

I will have the full set up for you very soon!

    lazy recovery weekend & updates

We have been getting over a nasty cold/flu bug in our house. My poor hubby even came down with pneumonia! We are all on the mend now, but it made for a very mellow last week. I did take some photos while stuck inside and thought I should share a few snaps of my favorite little red head and other things.

I love her crazy mop of hair first thing in the morning.

Someone is still insisting on wearing sundresses even though the weather is so not summer anymore. I let her have one last weekend with her beloved frilly pink summer dresses and bare feet, but only in the house. Soon they will be packed away and toes covered with warm socks.

On the phone with her Uncle River. She loves to talk on the phone. Between her master of the eye roll at an early age and this phone love I fear for her pre-teen years already.

My sweet husband carves anything and every thing he can get his hands on. For the last few years he has been on a soapstone kick. This piece is for me :) I love it when he has his creative juices flowing, even if does make a mess while he is working.

Hope you all are doing well and not being hit too hard by the start of the cold/flu season. Here is to warm hot coco and germ free homes!

I am almost fully booked for the rest of 2008 for family/kids/senior portrait sessions. If you are looking to book in the near future call or email me ASAP. I have one spot left in October and just a few left in November. I am also loving how the 2008 Holiday Cards are coming out.  If you are a previous client and you want to order some cards with images filled from your Spring/Summer session let me know. The cut off date to get those ordered in time for the holidays is November 15th.

It has been a wonderful year filled with fantastic clients, it is only October but I am already excited to see what the new year brings. This week is going to be a busy one for this little blog. I have two lovely class of 2009 ladies that have sneak peeks coming, and an awesome family session to show off. Keep checking back, I will have lots to show here!

    Just for FUN

I came across this fun website wordle.net/ on a photography forum the other day and just had to try. It “reads” your website or blog and gives you a fun smattering of word usage.

Here is mine for this blog:

Apparently I use FUN allot! Well that’s how I like it so I guess it works! :)

Remember I am almost booked for October for FUN family, seniors & kids sessions, if you want to put some FUN into your holiday photos give me a call or throw me an email asap!

The “B” family a modern day “Brady Bunch”

You might recognize the beautiful blond in the below photo. Miss Makenzie is one of my class of 2009 senior reps, and I was lucky enough to spend some time with her entire family this last week.

The B family reminds me of a modern day “Brady Bunch”. Full of individuals for sure, but such fun as a big group. They were up for all my crazy ideas, you have to love that!

I am thinking the kids had no idea what to expect, but we tried to make it fun!

    We did some JUMPING…

And of course being teens & pre-teens we had to rock out a little.

We also did some individual shots of the kids. They were all such good sports for me.

I was told certain family members *cough* Canada boys *cough* don’t like to smile. So of course I had to work my magic. You have no idea of the shenanigans going on behind the camera to get these smiles.

    Such a beautiful family!

H I had a great time meeting ever last one of your family members! Thanks making the evening fun and being into my crazy ideas. I can not wait to show you all the rest very soon!
