    Baby G on the go!

Yes indeed it is yet another adorable little boy on the blog this week. I am so lucky to get to spend time with these cute little guys! Meet baby G. This little guy make me work for the session, no doubt about it, but his cute mug is so very worth it. We hung out last Sunday when the weather was still blazing and has some fun in the sun, man he was on the go. Mr. G was not quite sure about me, but I did manage to capture some cute smiles and some delicious dimples.

Anyway enough talk, on to the photos! Here are a few of my favorites so far:

    swingset

Little G is lucky enough to have an auntie who owns a beautiful working farm near his home. We spent most of the session tromping around playing with shovels and throwing hay. I love this old swing. He is still a little small to do it on his own, but cute none the less.

    babygrant-18

such a serious little dude. Oh so interested in all the goings on of the farm. I am pretty sure here he is intently watching grandpa use the loud saw.

    hayset

    farm boy:)

    horseset

we even got him on the horse! Don’t you worry mama was on the other side holding him still. He LOVED being on the big beast, I am so impressed. I think my daughter would have been completely freaked out.

    smileset

Check it we caught a smile! and those dimples, ugh to die for dimples.

    babygrant-36

and one more of the cute smile &  dimples for good measure. He is such a cutie!

Mom & Dad thanks again for contacting me to arrange the session. I had a lovely time working with all of you! Your little man is such a sweet boy. I will of course have the whole set for you very soon. In the mean time hows about a little comment challenge. I know you found me via one of these, so you must have your own! If you can get 30 people to leave a comment on this little post i will throw in a couple mini wallet brag books on me! So leave some love folks!

    Great photo’s !

    the charming little traveler…

Once again I need to thank Mr. Google for bringing me the following adorable family.  The ever so charming Mr. S is 6 months old and over the top adorable! He is a tad small for his age as he made his entrance into this world a bit early, but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in character. Seriously this little dude is such a charmer, I am so looking forward to seeing him grow up over the next year, and hearing about his first big adventure traveling. This little guy and family are heading off to Turkey at the end of the month, sounds like a long plane ride, but a fun trip to visit friends and family. I am sure with his stunning eyes and smile he will be charm his way in to every one’s hearts.

So on to the photos! We had a great time playing around the beautifully decorated living room and front yard.

Here are a few of my favs so far:

    couchset

Look at that face, I wanted to just eat him up.

    babyNum-11

    itsy, bitys baby toes.:)

    babyNum-18

check out that gummy smile! ahhhh I dare you not to smile back.

    babyNum-19

I am pretty sure this look of love what not for me, but a certain pretty mama behind me and to the left. Someone only has eyes for mama.

    playset

I love it when baby’s just ignore me and play. You get a chance to really see their personality. This little guy was all about the wiggly toes. Cracks me up, oh that ages goes so quickly.

    babyNum-23BW

Poor little dude is currently battling molars, but still smiling! I just love his eyes here.

    babyNum-27

and the whole family! Aren’t they sweet.

    babyNum-30b

We also got grandma in on the action. Seriously this little guy has no shortage of love in his life.

    mam

    some more love from mama.

    babyNum-35

    and of course daddy too.

    babyNum-36b

just one more of the whole family loving on Mr. S. Lucky, lucky little man.

Jessica, thanks again for contacting me to come capture your darling family.  Your little guy is absolutely a love. I had a great time in your beautiful home. I am so looking forward to watching him grow this year! I will have the whole set for you very, very soon. I want you have everything you need for your travels. And of course as a new client I want to offer you a little comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in two of the little mini wallet brag books you liked so much. So leave some love folks.:)

[...] remember this charming little dude from the summer right? Well over the past few months baby S has turned into less of a baby and more [...]

[...] back with new additions. I started photographing a hansom little boy with big brown eyes when he was just over 6 months old, then he was a cute little crawler, then last year a fast & sweet toddler. Well he is back [...]

    lucky & loved

Sweet baby A is a very lucky little fellow. His mama and papa have wanted to meet his sweet face for a long time. You might remember their belly session here. Well the wait, wanting and work paid off, little Mr. A is nothing short of divine. I am not sure how a baby could be more loved:)It was my honor as a friend to come by and take a few snaps of the little fellow last week. The little dude would have nothing of the idea of sleeping or laying down on his own, but we still got a few sweet ones. He is so tiny and perfect!

ahhh, ok on to the baby photos:

    Faces set

so awake and alert for a week old guy! I love his little pursed lips.:)

    bitsobabyasher

I always love to get the little bits. They change so fast at this age, almost daily! I love the tiny baby pieces that so soon become big.

    daddyhands

    Such a proud daddy.:)

    babyAsherPeek-20

awww that little face. I could have photoshopped out his scratch here, but mama thought it made him look tough so I kept it on.:)

    mamashoset

Nothing sweeter than a mother and child. This little guy has no idea how lucky he is to have such an amazing woman as his mama. This is the photo I have wanted to do for you for so long Sho, i am so glad we got to do it. You are already such an incredible mama! I am so happy for all of you. This little guy is amazing. I can not wait to see him grow in to a little dude. Congrats again! I will have more for you soon.:)

oh and a special thanks to my lovely assistant for helping me out with the photos.;)I heart you banana girl.

    Joel - August 7, 2009 - 1:15 pm

Great work Emily! Love the eyes on the second to last one. And you have a very lovely assistant indeed!

    love on the beach {sneak peek for Anna & Matt}

I have been looking forward to Anna & Matt’s engagement session for a while now. Not only are these two super fun and adorable, they are big fans of the tiny fishing town of Pacific City Oregon. PC is my favorite place to be on the Oregon coast. My little family tries to make it out every chance we can get. So when Anna & Matt requested that we make the trip out for their engagement session I thought perfect! We will just take the family out for the weekend and shoot a fun couple along the way! Well the first time we tried it we ended up in the rain, so we tried again last weekend with better luck. It was so nice to be on the coast during Oregon’s crazy heat wave! Though when we finally got out to shoot it was a little foggy, no grand views of the sunset of haystack rock, we still had a lovely time.

Any way, enough of my rambling, here are a few of my favorites so far:

    dogset

We started off the session with a few of their super sweet pups. Dory clearly wanted a little attention of her own.:)

After they got a few close-ups of their own the dogs went back to the car and we set out to get some of our happy  couple.

    Anna Matt Peek-13

    They are so sweet together.:)

    Anna Matt Peek-14

I always ask they soon to be groom to  make the ladies laugh. Matt was excellent at his job.

    Anna Matt Peek-15

The beach was so foggy that day there was no chance of seeing the big haystack rock, but I have to admit I kind of love the foggy feel. It was also nice to have a bit cooler weather. Check these two sporting their brand new coats. None of of us expected the cool weather and had to well, improvise with a little local shopping.

    SandalsSet

Even though it was cooler we still had to sport the flip-flops. It is the beach after all!

    Anna Matt Peek-18

    :)

    runningset

It was not all snuggling on the beach, I did make these two work for it a bit.

    Anna Matt Peek-21

Pacific City is also known for some great rock formations. This is right below the huge dune, I love all the crazy formations the rocks and sand take. And of course putting a beautiful couple in front of it is always nice.

    feet set

I also had Anna & Matt venture out onto the rocks to get these. Little did I know I was asking them to walk barefoot across some old barnacles. Ouch! These two are such troopers!

    Anna Matt Peek-30

And we had to do the “walking down the beach” shot. Due to the fog we were not able to capture the sunset, but again I love the misty feel to this one. It might be my favorite.

Anna & Matt I had a great time with the two of you. I can not wait for your wedding in just a few short weeks! And of course I will have this whole set for you very soon. To keep you busy how about a little comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 mounted wall print on me! SO leave some love people!

    Bride's dad - August 3, 2009 - 8:43 pm

Nice images Emily! You’ve done a great job making the best of the foggy weather but having a nice photogenic couple (not that I’m biased or anything) certainly helped. Anna, we’ll have to add a couple of these to the wall alongside the ones we took of you and your brother at Pacific City 24 years ago.

    Andrew - August 3, 2009 - 11:01 pm

    Three Comments:
Comment the First: They are Awesome Shots! You two look wonderfully happy, I am so Happy for you, and can’t wait for the big day! (and the wedding a couple days later should be nice as well)
Comment the Second: Completely independent of the fact that these are very nice engagement photos- in a whole different way, the composition and tone of the ‘depth of field’ shots is really amazing . . . the sharpness of the foreground in contrast with the two of you behind is really very interesting. In a way they almost look like they came out of a commercial piece (especially the ones with the stylized name in the corner) and you two are models in a shoot for some line of super chi-chi dog collars (in the case of the contrapposto-esque Dori in the right of the first two shots), or some hip and fun ‘emilyg’ flip-flops (in the case of the doubles 5 down), or a print advert for Columbia. The whole set possessed of a happy, fun, care-free feel. I guess what I am saying is you are both incredibly photogenic and your photographer really seems to have a grip on how to capture a moment.
Comment the Third: What is this “trash the dress shoot in PC” of which ‘olivia’ speaks? . . . hmmm . . .?

    Jennifer Dickeson - August 4, 2009 - 7:58 am

Amazing pictures! Amazing location and most of all Amazing couple!

    grooms papa - August 4, 2009 - 8:07 am

It’s nice to know you both could pursue a second career as models!
Matt where’s your toenail polish in the “foot “shot?

    Aunt Pat - August 4, 2009 - 9:00 am

What a happy couple! They are cute pictures and I especially like the black and white photo. Great additions to your wedding album.

    Jaem Jones - August 6, 2009 - 4:12 pm

Wow Matt!! It looks like you’ve been working out. Great picture walking down the beach. BTW you should have left your sandles on for the foot shot, your feet are a little knobby.

[...] they still brought the fun. Back a few months ago when we had our engagement session at the coast, you remember right? Our beautiful sunset beach session ended up a freezing fogged in session. We had fun anyway, and [...]
