kimberlie & russell are married!

Kimberlie & Russell are awesome. They are smart, funny and put on a great party. I knew after our fun east side engagement session a few months back their Cannon Beach wedding would be one of my favorites of the summer, and I was not wrong. Though they did not spend any time with their toes in the sand, they celebrated the beach town and all things family & love. Starting at Russel’s grandmother’s cabin and then moving to Haystack Gardens, a beautiful intimate venue the whole event was cozy and personal. I can truly say their friends and family were one of the most joy filled groups I have ever had the chance to capture. The kids were cute, and people wore big smiles, it was a great day…

Skye & Ben the wedding!

If I had to use one word to describe Skye & Ben’s wedding, it would be warmth. Not just because it was a bright, warm, summer, day, but because of Skye and Ben specifically. They exude warmth in their smiles, their laughter, and the way they look at each other. After our fun rainy day engagement session, I knew that this would be a wonderful wedding to capture; and I was right. McMenamin’s Grand Lodge was the perfect venue. The wedding party was a pleasure to hang out with and the whole crew was lots of fun. We had a great day and made some great images together.

Jessica + Ryan = love

Some times things just come together.

I met Ryan and Jessica under less than awesome circumstances. Long story short they were in need of a wedding photographer somewhat last moment for their big day, and not having much luck and having a very bad taste in their mouths due to a previous experience. As luck would have it their wedding date was the one and only Saturday I had open between May & October, so we set it all up. After hearing their story and meeting these two I knew I wanted to work with them. They are sweet, kind, funny and so very in love. While I still feel bad about the drama they had to endure, I am so glad with how it all worked out, and that I get to be the one to capture their wedding and engagement session.

For the engagement we met up at a local pub, had a beverage, talked all things wedding and summer events then went to a local park for some laid back photos. Jessica and Ryan were so fun to get to know, and even dared the water for a few images!

Beautiful boys & bump

What makes for a perfect evening for me and my camera? Hmm lets see, start with a stunning location in the perfect light. Add in a stunningly beautiful family, and top it off with an amazingly stunning pregnant mama. Yep that would be it, and lets just say me and my camera were happy campers just a few weeks ago. Spending the evening with Mercedes and her family was lovely, and I am so happy with the resulting photographs. Her boys kept me on my toes for sure, but it was a great time.

Your boys are adorable, even when they are all over the place. 😉 Mercedes I also have to say you make one of the most beautiful pregnant mamas I have ever had the pleasure to capture.
