A few years back it was my pleasure to capture Mandy & Melissa’s beautiful Columbia river gorge wedding. It’s funny the day of the wedding we chatted about a lot of things, one being babies. I knew that day M&M would be amazing Mamas, so when the day came to capture their growing family I was super stoked.

Sweet little Luca was a doll for me. So sleepy and calm. Serene and sweet just like his Mamas! I had a great time talking babies, diapers, super heros and more. It was wonderful to catch up with these guys, but really, it was the most wonderful to capture them as a family

They are always so good for me, but this year they really killed it. First we started with a perfect little newborn, and then I got to watch them grow and grow… This year we decided to head to downtown Sherwood and make some more fun photos.  R & Z were so fun to capture. Their sweet little baby smiles have grown in to hilarious little kid giggles. They are both super kind and to top it off are super sweet to each-other! I can not tell you how much I adore these two, and the whole family.

Filled with great clients and more than average amount of sunny days. It is pretty much a photographers dream. :) One such day was Nicole & David’s beautiful spring wedding at McMenanins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. We lucked into some great weather, and captured some great people. Nicole and David are super sweet, and so were their entire wedding party & family. It was a beautiful day all around really a fun one.

Nicole and David wanted an intimate wedding, with the closest friends and family, but they also wanted to celebrate their love for Oregon and the great outdoors. Every little detail and moment showed that clearly. They also had some of the funniest moments in their ceremony and toasts that I have ever witnessed. One thing I can say about this crowd is they have a sense of humor!

 

It was a fantastic day to take part in and capture, here are a few of my many, many favorites from our day…

We spent some time downtown Portland, checking out the waterfront, and making some images.

I was just getting used to righting 13 on checks, and it is already spring! Nutso. Another nuts thing is I am already working on miss Aryana’s 6 month session. I was *just* doing her newborn session, I don’t know how it’s possible. She is already so much more adorable with a cute little personality shining through. Just like last time it was a pleasure capturing her, and even sneaking in a few of her stinker big brother and beautiful mama. Even if I did have to bribe big brother to let me point my camera his way. I always love a challenge. :)

One of the most fun points of the week was capturing The Colony St. John’s open house. The Colony is a new wedding & event venue in North Portland. Such a cool place. It is a stunning old building redone beautifully. They thew a kicker open house/kick off/launch party. It was my pleasure to go in and capture it for them. Here are a few of the images from the evening…

They put together a wonderful team of vendors to show off some of their new rental pieces and lovely inventory. I had a great time capturing their team’s creativity. We also used the shoot to preview a killer new N. Portland event venue. I went back last night to shoot their open house and can not wait to show off some additional images. It has been a fun & creative week to say the least. :)
