    Jodi & Kent: the wedding!

Jodi and Kent have been a joy to work with from our very first email. When they booked me Jodi was living in Oklahoma for work and Kent was living in Portland. We did all of our talking, details and contracting via calls, email and post, but I still really got to know these two in all of the planning. I loved that Jodi made extra effort to share their story, and lots of details about them. When we finally got together this fall for their engagement session & wedding it was hanging out with old friends.

The love these two share is so warm and sweet, it really was my pleasure to have them in front of my camera. I had a wonderful time capturing their wedding day especially. The big event was really all about their love and celebrating family & friends. The wedding was held at the beautiful University of Portland campus. I have only been to the campus a few times, so Kent guided us to some beautiful spots on site. All in all it was an amazing day. I should thanks my wonderful second shooter as well. Elisha took some of the photos you see below. I especially love the external shots of the grounds at night she captured.

Here are a few (yeah right many!) of my favorites from the big day. Sit back and enjoy!

Jodi & Kent thanks again so much for trusting me to capture your big day. It really was a pleasure to meet you two. I am sad you are still down south, you know I am going to have to beg you to come back north one day when babies arrive so I can capture them too! I am almost done with the entire gallery. I should have a link for you shortly.

Friends and family please leave a comment below if you would like a link to the gallery when it is all ready for viewing.

    COMMITTED the show

It was my pleasure to participate in the COMMITTED show just a few weeks ago. The show was lively, full of creativity and color. Great music, great vendors, and lots of fun!

Of course I brought my camera right, here are a few of my favorites from the show.

You can see the whole set here:

the longest engagment post in all of emily g history..

I have been dying to show you all the rest of Amy & Greg’s engagement session for some time now. The night was warm, beautiful and the light was perfect. Our location was rustic and endlessly inspiring. My lovely couple Amy & Greg are not only sweet hearts, but incredibly good looking and stylish. Really, a photographer’s dream. I also love this session as the theme was special to the couple. These two will be having a over the top fabulous new years wedding, but wanted something more rustic for their engagement photos. I think we captured the rustic style they were looking for, plus had a great time.

Here are a few, ha ok MANY of my favorites from our session:

Amy & Greg thanks again for coming out to meet me in the sticks, and being up for anything!  I had such a fun time working with you two, I can not wait to capture your wedding. I have so many more to show you, the gallery will be done shortly! I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. And of course like all my new clients I would love to throw down a blog challenge for you. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a 11×14 wall mount on the house! So leave some love people!

    Jen & Jason Elope!

I met Jen & Jason last year at one of my favorite fall 2010 weddings. I immediately noticed Jen with her cute punk rock hair and super cute little “bean”. Any baby girl that can rock skull and cross bone booties at a wedding is a girl after my own heart.  So when she called me this fall to say she and Jason were planning an intimate elopement at a local park I jumped at the chance to work with them. It was a sweet little wedding with just the closest of family & friends. It was my pleasure to capture the sweet and emotion filled event. Here are a few of my favorite images from the event:
