Third times the charm, Whitney & Michael engagment session! Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

The first time we scheduled Michael & Whitney’s engagement session we ended up in the middle of a rain & wind storm, so we canceled.  The second time poor miss Whitney came down with food poisoning. So yesterday when the rains started up again we said forget it! We will just make the best of it, and got some great images.

It was a rainy day so we just went with it and used the umbrella in the shots. It is spring in Oregon might as well embrace it.

    They are so sweet together.

Whitney’s smile is so great. And especially great when Michael is smooching her.

And for a split second it stopped raining so we ran outside and grabbed a few under this amazing tree.

Whitney & Michael, thanks for braving the weather for me! I had a great time with the two of you. I can not wait to capture your big day.  I will have the whole set for you very soon.

    so excited I could cry

“One of the most beloved books of all time” is an understatement. I can remember reading this one with my mother as a kid. And we read it over and over and over in our house. My husband even has a tattoo of Max on his arm! It was one of the first reasons I fell in love with the man, you know with that tattoo he has to have a kind heart. We were ecstatic to hear director Spike Jonze was doing the project. His eye is amazing! The trailer made me tear up a bit. Enjoy!

We will be in line on October 16th you can bet!

It’s so very nice to be home…

    Hello Ya’ll!

It is so very lovely to be home. I will not bore you with the details of my insane travels home. How I almost got kicked off a plane minuets before take off, how I spent an hour walking around the Dalles airport trying to find any  T-shirt that did not say “Don”t Mess with Texas”, and many more “humorous” stories.

Instead I will share with you some beautiful photos, because well that is what I do!

Here are a few of my favorites from Julie & Jarett’s “day before” session. Living in Texas we did not have the chance to do an official “engagement session” so we went and took some fun ones before their rehearsal dinner. We had so much fun tromping around the San Angelo Visitor’s Center & Down town San Angelo.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

San Angelo has some amazing spots.

I loved this bridge, and it helps to have a super adorable couple.

I am always a fan of big wall murals, this western themed one was too perfect to pass up.

And my favorite. This is so “them”.

Jarett & Julie I can not thank you enough for having me down south. I will be posting some from your rehearsal and of course the big day soon!

    Love on the Salem waterfront {Salem Oregon Wedding Photographer}

Just as I promised I have a full peek of Christi & Brett’s super fun engagement session. We had a blast tromping around downtown Salem, fingers crossed the rain would give us time for a full session. These two were so adorable, and so very in love. It was a pleasure pointing  my lens at them. :)

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

I am so looking forward to your big day this summer.  If our engagement session was any way to tell, I am sure it is going to be a fun one. In the mean time I would love to offer you a little comment challenge. If you can get 25 people to leave a comment on this post, I will throw in a 11×14 wall print for that beautiful home of yours! So get commenting people!
