    Wild & Elegant

It is no secret I absolutely adored the flowers at Kelsey & Stephen’s wedding this past summer.

I mean really, they are amazing right?!

The bouquets, boutonnieres & table pieces were done by one of Portland’s finest floral design shops Ink & Peat in NE Portland. If you are a bride still on the search for a floral designer do your self a favor, call Pam she is amazing.

Well the lovely Pam has a blog of her own and featured Kelsey & Stephen’s wedding today, with some of my work to illustrate the beauty. Click here and take a look for your self. She also talks about what flowers were used and the theme of the design. Great stuff. :)

    Adored Portland Wedding Vendor

Not too long ago I was invited to be listed as a vendor with the fantastic local blog/website Portland Style Unveiled.

For me it was a privilege, the other vendors listed are some of (in my opinion) the best in the business locally. I just adore their blog and all around website. To all my 2010 brides, this site is a fantastic resource for planning a Portland wedding!Click the link above and take a look around. You will see little ‘ol me listed under photographers now!

because the blog needs some red head this afternoon….

I am in the middle of a whirl wind album designing day here at emily g photography, but I had to take a little break. I had a wonderful client call me to talk about her order and she was so cute to mention it had been a long time since I had blogged about my little lady. I checked the archives, clearly she is right! So here is a quickie post with some personal photos. These are all just snap shots from a beach trip last month (or was it July? I don’t remember!). It seems like this summer all I have done is work, so here proof we do have a family life every once in a while!

    crablegssdrama

I made the mistake of telling her not to step on the crab legs. Apparently she is still freaked out about them and to this day asks if there are any crab legs around on our walks. Yeah, I scared her for life, perfect. :(

    my people

The redhead and the moustache, they are my people. :)

    proofiwasthere

Hey look proof I was there too! I love the one on the right, it looks like she is throwing little pre-schooler gang signs! lol. You can also see here the very beginning of a baby bump. That is right in case you missed it on facebook or twitter, there will be a new addition to our household next February.

    beachfall

and this little series cracks me up to no end. No I do not enjoy my child falling, but the fact I caught this little series of seconds is the magic of a fast lens and shutter speed. She was fine, a little sandy and wet but fine.

So there you have it, our silly little family. I will do a few more personal posts later on in the week or next. We actually did quite a lot this summer. But first back to the album designing for you lovely clients out there!

If you or your family/friends are thinking of scheduling a session prior to the holidays please call or email me soon. I am starting to book up all my prime spots! I would hate to miss anyone. :)

    Summer Special Time!

It is getting warm out there and really feeling like summer! I have to admit I love all things July, BBQs, fireworks, popsicles, little girls in sundresses, gatherings with friends and family. I am really looking forward to some fun kiddo sessions in the warm weather and beautiful light. I still have some room in my July schedule so if you are thinking about booking a session now is the time.

So get to the special right?! Any Bump (maternity), Baby, Kids or Family Session booked by July 15th gets $30 off my session fee! That would be the special price of $95 instead of my normal $125. (good deal eh?!).

I have lots of great ideas, I am thinking colorful popsicles, bathing suits and kids splashing in pools would be a grand way to capture the essence of summer. There are also some great ways to capture the whole family in the beautiful Oregon weather. I hate to admit it, but the rain is just around the corner. We have to grab the good weather while we can! Contact me today and we can talk details.

and because I can not post with out a photo check out this little dude:

    liampeek-1

I got to hang out with Mr. L last summer and we had blast, oh how they grow! I hope to see you again soon little guy.

So you have just a few short weeks to jump on this deal. Once August hits I will be in full on wedding mode and have a very limited schedule for portrait sessions.

    Talk to you soon!
