As you lovely blog readers know I had a baby just over 2 months ago, many of you have emailed, blog commented, twittered, facebooked and called with your congratulations. I have felt very loved thank you all so much! To say thank you I want to give you all something back. A blog special! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your mama I am running a special!

Any baby or kids sessions booked between now and Mother’s day (Sunday May 9th) will come with a $50 print credit in honor of my sweet chubby babies. This would also work towards a gift certificate too, speaking of Mother’s Day!

The website “Switch Cities“  is run by an eclectic group of wedding photographers from all over the world. A few of them met in a photographer’s forum I used to regularly check into so I have been a fan for a little while. They do some great modern scenic work that is really inspirational to this girl who has little to no talent for landscapes. Well last month the Switch Cities twitter stream was all a flutter about an auction for Haiti, it started small, but soon grew into an amazing fun raiser! The end result of two different auctions was over 4K as far as I understand. These folks did some great work, and I was lucky enough to have the winning bid for an absolutely beautiful 16 x 24 canvas of Seattle by the lovely and talented Gabe of Gabriel Boone Photography.

We had been searching for the perfect print for our new dining room for some time, and the color was dead on with the warm grey I picked out. And of course it was for a great cause!

Piece by piece will will get this new place put together!

I mean really, they are amazing right?!

The bouquets, boutonnieres & table pieces were done by one of Portland’s finest floral design shops Ink & Peat in NE Portland. If you are a bride still on the search for a floral designer do your self a favor, call Pam she is amazing.

Not too long ago I was invited to be listed as a vendor with the fantastic local blog/website Portland Style Unveiled.

For me it was a privilege, the other vendors listed are some of (in my opinion) the best in the business locally. I just adore their blog and all around website. I made the mistake of telling her not to step on the crab legs. Apparently she is still freaked out about them and to this day asks if there are any crab legs around on our walks. Yeah, I scared her for life, perfect.

Hey look proof I was there too! I love the one on the right, it looks like she is throwing little pre-schooler gang signs! lol. You can also see here the very beginning of a baby bump. That is right in case you missed it on facebook or twitter, there will be a new addition to our household next February.

and this little series cracks me up to no end. No I do not enjoy my child falling, but the fact I caught this little series of seconds is the magic of a fast lens and shutter speed. She was fine, a little sandy and wet but fine.

So there you have it, our silly little family. I will do a few more personal posts later on in the week or next. We actually did quite a lot this summer. But first back to the album designing for you lovely clients out there!

I have lots of great ideas, I am thinking colorful popsicles, bathing suits and kids splashing in pools would be a grand way to capture the essence of summer. There are also some great ways to capture the whole family in the beautiful Oregon weather. I hate to admit it, but the rain is just around the corner. We have to grab the good weather while we can! my kid is cute!

The little redheaded diva had her very first dance recital this evening and her oooooyo gooooooy mama in between tears of pride had to snap a few. She did a fabulous job, in between perfect little ballet & tap steps she even made time to mug for the camera! Such a little goofball. Well while these are really just a few snapshots I had to share!

She had absolutely no problem being out front of a crowd, yeah I think I know where she gets that from.

Yes that is my girl sticking out her tongue and being a goof ball, I think she get that trait from her daddy.

She wanted to go to bed wearing the polka dotted tutu and sequined hair band but I talked her out of it. I am sure we will see more of this particular outfit again very soon.

World meet little Xander!

He was such a good sleepy baby.

I think he might have the best newborn hair too, a natural little faux hawk.

Doesn’t Daria look amazing for being the mother of a newborn. No sleep apparently works for you girl!

You can tell this little guy is very, very loved. Usually I have ask people to ignore me and just interact with the baby, these two are so in love with their little dude they could not take their eyes off him! Can you blame them? Yeah me either.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Daria’s mom Dale. She was so sweet, again this babe already has a huge fan club. Just look at that smile, how could you not love him!

Daria and the new man in her life, such a sweet bond between a mother and a son.

and you know we had to break out the Batman again! I could do a whole post on these, but it is already a crazy long blog post so I will just show you my two favorite. The only thing we ran out of time for was the Lacrosse sticks, I am thinking when the little man is 6 months old we will have to hook that up!

Daria & Dallas thanks again for having me back to meet your little dude. He is simply divine, I know why you are so in love with him. It again was a pleasure to spend with with your growing family. I hope you are all getting a bit more sleep this week, I can’t wait to see him as he grows bigger and bigger. I am sure he will get even more fun! I will have the whole gallery for you up again soon. And after last times success, we have to do another comment challenge. I am thinking the maternity photo on the mantle needs a matching family photo. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post you will have another 11×14 coming from me! So leave some love people.

We had way too much fun with the photo booths there as well, even if we all look evil in the resulting images.

in the middle you can see the red head’s “motorcycle face”. She kills me, she was so excited every time we got to a ride she was actually tall enough for.

and on the far right check it out! It is the illusive husband, he is actually in this posting twice. I was teased recently by a colleague about how he is not on facebook and not visible on the blog, so here ya go! Handsome devil isn’t he.

The kiddo loved all the sites & sounds. She also scored a new “baby” that she promptly named, get this, Christina Agulara! No clue where that came from, totally had the husby and I in tears laughing about it.

oh and in case you want to know, I rock at skee ball.

oh the drama, her little face is so expressive.  I am pretty sure she was begging for cotton candy here!

All in all we had a fantastic family date. If you are in PDX I highly recommend an evening at the Rose Festival, just a few hours is fun and highly entertaining.
