2011 best of emily g photography

As always I have been working on a year end post. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show. We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

here’s to an even better 2012!

    COMMITTED the show

It was my pleasure to participate in the COMMITTED show just a few weeks ago. The show was lively, full of creativity and color. Great music, great vendors, and lots of fun!

Of course I brought my camera right, here are a few of my favorites from the show.

You can see the whole set here:

    Albums, Albums, Albums….

Aside from actually taking the photos, one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer has to be designing the album. I love the process of retelling a wedding story through photos. Jenny & Matt’s wedding this summer was absolutely beautiful. Taking place at the Nine’s Hotel, then the stunning St. Mary’s Cathedral, and then the always beautiful Portland Art Museum.  I am just received their album back from print and man is is beautiful!

I love that Jenny wanted to do a full page spread of this image:

I hope all you lovely blog readers are staying warm out there! More babies and even a winter wedding coming soon on the blog! I also spending my time lately meeting with lots of 2001 wedding couples. If you or anyone you know is getting married soon contact me asap. My calender is starting to fill up fast!
