As you lovely blog readers know I had a baby just over 2 months ago, many of you have emailed, blog commented, twittered, facebooked and called with your congratulations. I have felt very loved thank you all so much! To say thank you I want to give you all something back. A blog special! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your mama I am running a special!

Any baby or kids sessions booked between now and Mother’s day (Sunday May 9th) will come with a $50 print credit in honor of my sweet chubby babies. This would also work towards a gift certificate too, speaking of Mother’s Day!

While backing up files this week I realized that I had absolutely zero images of my little lady in my November 2009 file. Yikes! The situation had to be fixed immediately. So the kiddo and I headed out into the bluster sunday morning armed with my camera & her fashion sense.

The lovely, talented, beautiful, wonderful Maricar Lianne (www.maricarlianne.com) took these precious images of my sweet ornery family recently and I could not be more full of pride and joy.  I tell my clients all the time it is so important to capture your family before little ones grow up, and I have been guilty my self. I went digging for a family photo a few months ago and realized we had not done family photos for real in almost 2 years! With baby #2 on the way (can you spy my bump? I tried to camouflage it a bit) I knew we had to capture our family as we are right this moment before little Griffin arrives and we are a quartet. (That is right, if you had not already heard we are having a BOY!)

So I bribed my husband and child, spent a frantic afternoon shopping for perfect attire and made it happen. During our session I also took a few of Maricar’s adorable family. I promise to post those soon! I just could not wait to show off my own!

So enjoy, and just so you know, clients I feel your pain. I know what it is like when your child acts like a beast, and your husband is done after 10 minuets, yep I so get that.

So there you have it, I to had my turn on the other side of the camera! And let me tell you, as crazy as it was, these are priceless to me! I hope I make my clients feel the same way some times.

I made the mistake of telling her not to step on the crab legs. Apparently she is still freaked out about them and to this day asks if there are any crab legs around on our walks. Yeah, I scared her for life, perfect.

The redhead and the moustache, they are my people.

Hey look proof I was there too! I love the one on the right, it looks like she is throwing little pre-schooler gang signs! lol. You can also see here the very beginning of a baby bump. That is right in case you missed it on facebook or twitter, there will be a new addition to our household next February.

and this little series cracks me up to no end. No I do not enjoy my child falling, but the fact I caught this little series of seconds is the magic of a fast lens and shutter speed. She was fine, a little sandy and wet but fine.

So there you have it, our silly little family. I will do a few more personal posts later on in the week or next. We actually did quite a lot this summer. But first back to the album designing for you lovely clients out there!

I always love to get the little bits. They change so fast at this age, almost daily! I love the tiny baby pieces that so soon become big.

Nothing sweeter than a mother and child. This little guy has no idea how lucky he is to have such an amazing woman as his mama. This is the photo I have wanted to do for you for so long Sho, i am so glad we got to do it. You are already such an incredible mama! I am so happy for all of you. This little guy is amazing. I can not wait to see him grow in to a little dude. Congrats again! I will have more for you soon.

We had a grand day of delicious food, shoe shopping, zoo animals, toy stores, visits with friends and pajama-movie parties.

We are a little tuckered out, but I could not let the day pass with out posting some birthday love for my little diva on the blog.

We saw some super cool things at the Zoo, including the brand new baby elephant! He was so very cute. We even brought one of the while beasts you see above home.

and a rare appearance of the rarest of all beasts, the Mommy/Redhead photo! Even if she is being grumpy and refusing to smile, and it is not so flattering of me, having a photo of the two of us is so nice.

We still have a few social events tomorrow and then the big PARTY on Saturday. It is going to be quite the long weekend, I am sure I will be posting more, but for now just a bit of birthday love. You are my favorite person in the whole world honey, and I would not change anything about you for the world.

I have an amazing job I adore, fantastic clients, a rocken almost 4 year old that rocks my world, and a freaking fantastic hubby. It’s Father’s day so I asked this sweet man what he would like for his day, I threw out some options. A BBQ? Frisbee golf? A trip to Powells? A hike in the gorge? I gave him any choice, and you know what he chose?

This is our soon to be new kitchen. The kitchen and house remodel has been going on for a while, and you would think he would want a day off? But no, last night he was out there late finishing up our beautiful kitchen flooring, and today he and my father are installing the cabinets!He is the best right? I mean know he loves all this stuff, it is fun, but I am sure he would have also enjoyed a day off and a little pampering.

So here’s to you baby, to my partner in crime and the best daddy a little red head could ask for. You are amazing, and we love you to bits. Happy Fathers Day.

And a very happy fathers day to you all too! All my lovely baby clients this year celebrating their first fathers day, and those who are veterans! I hope it is filled with love and joy!

my kid is cute!

The little redheaded diva had her very first dance recital this evening and her oooooyo gooooooy mama in between tears of pride had to snap a few. She did a fabulous job, in between perfect little ballet & tap steps she even made time to mug for the camera! Such a little goofball. Well while these are really just a few snapshots I had to share!

She had absolutely no problem being out front of a crowd, yeah I think I know where she gets that from.

Yes that is my girl sticking out her tongue and being a goof ball, I think she get that trait from her daddy.

She wanted to go to bed wearing the polka dotted tutu and sequined hair band but I talked her out of it. I am sure we will see more of this particular outfit again very soon.
