As you lovely blog readers know I had a baby just over 2 months ago, many of you have emailed, blog commented, twittered, facebooked and called with your congratulations. I have felt very loved thank you all so much! To say thank you I want to give you all something back. A blog special! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your mama I am running a special!

Any baby or kids sessions booked between now and Mother’s day (Sunday May 9th) will come with a $50 print credit in honor of my sweet chubby babies. This would also work towards a gift certificate too, speaking of Mother’s Day!

I have a few spots left in May & June and lots more availability in this summer months but now is the time to schedule. Once wedding season really starts rolling my calender gets packed, so contact me today to save $50!

This have been great, intense, lovely, dramatic and magical. We are all adjusting and loving the addition of our little man. I have been trying to balance resting for my own recovery and capturing every moment of it with my camera. Lets be honest, the naps have won out most days, but I do have some images to show of our first week, a few from the hospital and a few from home.

I also had the wonderful advantage of knowing a few amazing photographer friends who were great enough to come over and do Griffin’s official newborn session. I will post a few of those another time.

For now just a few snaps of my own of my growing little family.

Meet Griffin!

8lbs 5oz, 20.5 inches born Wednesday February 24th at 12:30.

Lots of real (non cell phone) photos to follow, his silly mommy forgot to bring the card reader to the hospital.

We have been busy busy bees around here at emily g photography.  Answering new client inquiries, taking photos of cute babies, designing guest sign in books & wedding albums and working on a little bumpy-side project of our own.

I want to thank all of you who have been referring your friends my way. If I could I would hug each and every one of you!

As I said before 2009 was an amazing year, and 2010 is shaping up to be pretty wonderful so far. Lots more on the blog post coming up. For now I will leave you with a couple images from Bryn & Scott’s stunning Mt. Hood Wedding this summer. I am working on their album right now, ahhh I just love falling in love with the weddings all over again while designing albums.

While backing up files this week I realized that I had absolutely zero images of my little lady in my November 2009 file. Yikes! The situation had to be fixed immediately. So the kiddo and I headed out into the bluster sunday morning armed with my camera & her fashion sense.

Here are a few of my favs:

Either way I do have to admit when I read other photographer’s blog I always enjoy it when they put a little “me at work” into their blog posts.

so here you go, in all my silly glory, me at work:

this one was caught by the lovely Jenifer (www.polkadotphotography.net/blog) with her oh so fancy tilt-shift lens. Normally I do not post photos of my backside for all to see, but I thought this one was alright. This one was taken at the adorable Leia & Tyler’s wedding just last October in Canon Beach.

I am honestly not sure who took this one. And really it is not of me, but of my subject the lovely Jennifer Wohrle photographer extraordinaire out of the Seattle Wa area. But technically you do see me shooting miss Jen on the left.

And this last one is really the reason for the post lol. This is the real me at work. Taken at the super awesome Scott & Brynn’s wedding in August. Silly & fun that is how we roll here at emily g photgraphy. This one was captured by the lovely Jen from tumble bumble photography.

Well there it is, a little peak into little ol me at work. My style is laid back and fun, I hope these images show you that a little bit.

The lovely, talented, beautiful, wonderful Maricar Lianne (www.maricarlianne.com) took these precious images of my sweet ornery family recently and I could not be more full of pride and joy.  I tell my clients all the time it is so important to capture your family before little ones grow up, and I have been guilty my self. I went digging for a family photo a few months ago and realized we had not done family photos for real in almost 2 years! With baby #2 on the way (can you spy my bump? I tried to camouflage it a bit) I knew we had to capture our family as we are right this moment before little Griffin arrives and we are a quartet. (That is right, if you had not already heard we are having a BOY!)

So I bribed my husband and child, spent a frantic afternoon shopping for perfect attire and made it happen. During our session I also took a few of Maricar’s adorable family. I promise to post those soon! I just could not wait to show off my own!

So enjoy, and just so you know, clients I feel your pain. I know what it is like when your child acts like a beast, and your husband is done after 10 minuets, yep I so get that.

and I had to save this set for last. The light, oh the light. Maricar you got this perfectly! Even though my little dudette was being a pill, oh I love it. Who knew the hubby and I could be so cute together!

So there you have it, I to had my turn on the other side of the camera! And let me tell you, as crazy as it was, these are priceless to me! I hope I make my clients feel the same way some times.
