    beloved baby bump

Many years ago I was a geeky, awkward girl new to summer camp. Lucky enough for me I was able to fall into a group of sweet, kind, loving, and patient girls. Three out of four of them were named Sarah, and I am still lucky today to still call a few of them my friends. We went on adventures during spring breaks, saw Titanic about 50 times, and even attempted to learn swing dancing.  One of the kindest in the group was Sarah B, always slightly more mature than us, (ok more mature than me) and quick with a kind but funny word, always responsible, and smart. So when Sarah told me she was expecting a baby this summer, I was not surprized at all. To say I think she will be a great mother, is an understatement. It was my pleasure to capture this special time for her and her hubby Jesus.

Here are a few of my favorites from our session together. :)

Sarah & Jesus I am SO excited to meet your little lady here soon, and so thrilled for you two. She is a lucky baby to have such wonderful parents already. Thanks for coming out to the sticks and letting me capture this special time.

    sweet baby bump

The Moran family is one of the sweetest, kindest, soulful families I have ever had the privilege to work with. I won’t get into the long story, but for many reasons they are very close to my heart, so when they called to set up a maternity & newborn session for their latest baby I was beyond excited. It is such an honor to capture this important time in peoples lives, and such a privilege to be a small part of a families story. We had a great time catching up, talking about babies, toddlers, home improvement & all things parenthood. I am so happy to share a few of the images we created.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Shannon & Jory thanks again for having me back to your home. It was so nice to see you all again, and to meet little Jasper. He is darling! I can not wait to meet your sweet baby boy, and capture all of you together. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole gallery up for you shortly.

    beautiful baby belly

I love maternity sessions, something about finding the beauty of a pregnant woman always makes me happy. It also helps with that woman is stunningly beautiful, and has an adorable adoring husband. From the way these two look at each-other, I can tell this baby will be very, very loved. Elsa was a joy to work with in the studio, and thanks to some random sunny February weather we even got to venture outside.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Elsa thank again for coming down to see me. It was lovely to work with you two. I can not wait to meet your little one.  I will have your whole gallery done here shortly. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek.

2011 best of emily g photography

As always I have been working on a year end post. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show. We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

here’s to an even better 2012!

    I love maternity photography.

One big regret I have in my life is I did not have maternity photos done with my first kiddo.  it was such an amazing time, so many big changes, and so much joy. The few snapshots I do have just do not capture it, oh well. So when I had my son almost 2 years ago (wow where did the time go!) I ended up having one of the most photographed bellies of all time. And I love each and every image. Knowing I will never be doing it again, I am so glad I captured it. :)

So when I get a chance to capture this special time for another soon to be mama and couple I just love it. Becca and  Ian were great to work with. They love the outdoors and wanted to celebrate this important time in the beautiful fall leaves. We lucked into some great weather a few weeks, and made some great images.

Here are a few favs from our session.

Becca & Ian thanks again for being suck good sports, and up for all my wacky ideas. I really loved working with you two. I can not wait to meet your little one here soon! The whole gallery will be up here shortly as well.
