It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show.We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

One big regret I have in my life is I did not have maternity photos done with my first kiddo.  it was such an amazing time, so many big changes, and so much joy. The few snapshots I do have just do not capture it, oh well. So when I had my son almost 2 years ago (wow where did the time go!) I ended up having one of the most photographed bellies of all time. And I love each and every image. Knowing I will never be doing it again, I am so glad I captured it. :)

So when I get a chance to capture this special time for another soon to be mama and couple I just love it. Becca and  Ian were great to work with. They love the outdoors and wanted to celebrate this important time in the beautiful fall leaves. We lucked into some great weather a few weeks, and made some great images.

These two ladies are always great in front of the camera. First for their engagement session, and then it was my honor to capture their beautiful winter 2009 wedding. Well the lovely ladies are back again this time to celebrate the coming of their little girl! I just loved hanging out with these two again and capturing this special time for them.  Clearly these two are stoked to meet their newest addition, and Katie looks so amazing pregnant!

We grew up going to the same summer camp and I always thought she was the sweetest little thing. She was a year younger than me, and always kind and smart. Jen was the kind of girl you always wanted on your team or in your cabin. Rob was also there at summer camp and winter retreats, he had that same sweetness and kind spirit. So years later when I heard they got married and started a family I was not shocked at all. It was a natural fit and made me smile, and my smile got bigger when they recently contacted me about setting up a maternity and newborn session for their second child due this summer. I LOVE maternity sessions. Capturing a beautiful moment in that special time always makes me happy, so working with these two and their adorable 2 year old daughter was my pleasure. We got together not long ago at the studio and had a great time chatting and talking baby. Miss A, soon to be big sister quickly stole my heart as well.

Another year then a he was sweet faced little dude of 2 years, and now there is not only a big boy of 3, but another bump!  This little family of 3 is about to be a family of 4! I can not tell you how freaking excited I am to meet Jaxon’s little sister in a few months! The whole family was darling as usual, I really have the best clients in the entire world. We met up at one of my favorite local state parks and ran around as usual. Jaxon is sweet, kind and as adorable as ever. I could eat him up, his little sister has allot of cuteness to live up to!

We had a great time chatting about babies, birth, and henna.

We also ventured outside in the freezing cold, these two are up for anything, I love that!

These two are urban homesteaders, so we had to get a few that featured the chickens and animals. :)

and one last image, that beautiful belly and the always loved tye die. I can not wait to put a certain little baby on that very same throw.

And well… I will not have to wait long, since Terrie went into labor the very next day! Sweet little Michael is perfect in every way so I hear. I get to meet the little guy tomorrow! More soon of the little dude.
