Looking forward to witnessing their fab event! Hoping I don’t melt, but I am sure it will be amazing!

Amber and Brady are one of the first couples I ever pointed a camera at. As friends & family they let me use them in my portfolio a million years ago and it is still one of my favorite sessions to date. Well this beautiful couple is back. The current session a gift from their Realtor to celebrate the new home and new stage of life they are in. It also happens to coincide with their 3rd wedding anniversary and an extra big week. So to celebrate we stomped out to the wildflower covered field behind their new home and took some beautiful photos.
Here are a few of my many, many favorites so far:

They were up for anything, it was so fun to shoot these!

The light was nothing short of perfection that night.
I love it when a couple looks at each other like this, it just makes me smile.
We wanted to tell a story with these photos, these two are very symbolic of the work they are doing on their home & family right now.
Brady also had to give me some attitude, while being adorable and dashing too of course.
The wildflowers even got some close-ups that night.
Brady was such a sport, he is actually nursing 2 broke ribs right now!

Amber & Brady thanks for being such spots and up for anything! I love you love these as much as i do. This session was so much fun! I am so lucky to have you two as family, you know I love and adore both of you. I love the new house, and can not wait to see all you do to fill it up. Sending you lots of love this week as I know it is a special one.

Melissa & Mandy are one of those couples you just have to love. Upon our first meeting I felt instantly connected excited about their wedding. They exude warmth and welcome. Two lovely ladies that are so clearly in love it was a joy to photograph them. For their engagement session we went up to the Multnomah Village area of Portland. The two currently live here, and Mandy has deep roots in the neighborhood. We had a great time walking around that warm evening and making some great photos.
Here are a few of my favorites so far:

See how could you not smile back.

Mandy’s roots in Multnomah Village rungs deep, her grand parents used to own a dental office in this building many years ago.
These two are so fun, and so relaxed with each other.
We also visited the cool old recreation center. Such great light there.

After a while on the main drag we ran down to Gabriel Park for a while, the walking trails were beautiful.
Is there anything better than a sweat couple in the sunset light, I think not.
And one last photo of our happy couple.
Melissa & Many thanks again for having me out to your stomping ground. I had a great time getting to know you both better and hearing more about your big day. Just a few weeks away! Of course as new clinets I like to thrown down the blog challenge. If you can get 25 people to comment on this little blog post i will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house.
So leave some love people!

I first met Lilly & Calder at one of my super fun 2009 weddings. You remember Scott & Bryn at the Mt. Hood B&B right?. I remember thinking “they are adorable, I should slip them a card”. Well a few months later Ms Lilly emailed me asking about 2011 wedding details. We spoke over email and then over the phone, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding after our conversations. Due to her school schedule and my maternity leave we had to wait to meet in person again until this summer, we this past week we did a meeting/Beer/album viewing/engagement session meet up all in one hot summer night. It also cracked me up that one of my current sample album is actually from the wedding of Scott & Bryn, so Lilly & Calder were actually in some of the dancing photos! That is a first. I have to say this couple is FUN, we had a great time laughing (allot) and running around NW Portland. Sometimes couples take a while to warm up, but these two really felt like old friends.
Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Check them out, they are so adorable! Lilly has the most infectious laugh ever, I can hear it now.

These two are fantastic together. I loved the way they interacted, you could tell nothing was forced, they are just totally completely in love.

That night the Portland weather was HOT HOT HOT, and so were my clients!

I love this one, you can tell Lilly has comfortably rested her head here many, many times.

The light that night was pretty fantastic as well.

The architecture in NW Portland is fun, a little something different around every corner.

And one last one of our adorable couple. Lilly I know this one is your favorite. Check out the fantastic view we got from the rooftop of a sweet loft building. Thank you to Calder’s mom for letting us access her building for shooting!
Lilly & Calder thanks again for meeting up with me last week. I know the drive from Bend was a long one, I think it was totally worth it! I am so looking forward to your wedding next year, gah a whole year I can wait! I will have the whole set for you very, very soon. For now, you know it is comment challenge time. If you can get 25 people to comment on this little post, you will get an 11×14 on the house. So leave some love folks!
