    engagement and couples sessions

    an anniversary in the sun

When Ellie first contacted me about setting up a session for her, her husband and pups I was excited but not sure how we were going to pull off a winter session outdoors in Oregon with out ending up with muddy dogs & people. We did our best to schedule, and each time either snow or crazy ice storms it. The end result is that we waited until spring and lucked into a stunning warm day. We headed out the the beautiful Champoeg State park, (the site of their wedding 8 years ago) and had a great time playing with cute dogs and taking some fun images.

Here are a few of my favorites so far…

Ellie & Derrick thanks again for making the trek out. I am SO glad we waited until spring. I had a great time chatting with you guys, and meeting your darling doggies. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek! I will have the whole set for you shortly. :)

    Chistine + Willy = Adorable

When I first started chatting with Christine about wedding photography I knew we would get along. She is sweet, kind and so full of joy. Her smile is infectious. I was excited to meet her, and the super sweet fiance she had told me about. When I discovered they were George Fox students it made it all the more fun. We got to chat about our favorite haunts here in Newberg, the beautiful campus, and falling in love. These two high school sweet hearts were just so lovely to chat with, I was thrilled when they said they wanted to hire me for their wedding.

We also had a great time on the George Fox campus creating some fun engagement photos. Here are a few of my favorites from our session…

Christine & Willy thanks again for being so fun to capture. It was wonderful to get to know you guys. I am so looking forward to capturing your big day for you. As always new clients are subject to blog challenges. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house. So leave some love people!

    Megan & Michael

My first meeting with Michael & Megan consisted of 3 things: laughing, smart ass jokes & talking about love. In that order. It was quite possibly my favorite skype chat of all time.

Needless to say I adore these two. They are smart, funny, endlessly creative, highly musical and most importantly down to earth. These are my kind of people. Being that they live a bit south in California right now for their respective musical education programs I was eager to meet this wonderful couple in person. Finally just a few short weeks ago we were able to put together a time to chat, have coffee & take some fun engagement photos. We had  a great time strolling around the tiny town of St. Paul Oregon. We talked about music, weddings, practical jokes & love. I got to hear about their frozen but magical engagement. How they both grew up, and about plans for the big day.

Here are a few of my many favorites from our time together.

    Rachel & David: Love

What can I say about Rachel & David? They are kind, funny, stylish, and incredibly adorable. When I first met with Rachel I knew it would be a fun wedding & couple to work with, but working with them on the engagement session hit it home. They wanted to start the shoot at their building in downtown Portland. We had a great time running around the building, checking out the neighborhood & then hopping down to the waterfront. I had so much fun getting to know these too, and I am even more excited to capture their August wedding!

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

Rachel & David thanks again for welcoming me into your home. It was so fun to capture you guys in your element, and get to know you better. I can not wait to capture your big day this summer. I am sure it will be an amazing event. I hope you liked your sneak peek. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this little post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house.  I will have the whole set done for you very soon!
