It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show.We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

He is 5, wickedly funny, super smart, and simply adorable.

It has been baby season here at emily g, so it was a fun change to work with a slightly bigger, little person for a bit. Sawyer was SO good for me. He was the perfect mixture of crazy & thoughtful. He was also full to the brim with character as you can see with the many, many faces you will see below. I really had a wonderful time hanging out with him and his family. I always say my sessions are more of a play-date than a formal photo session, and this one really was all play.

He was also charming, and had a great smile, but this little guy officially wins for cutest Calder. Sorry Lilly, but come on look at this little guy. He was sweet, funny and let me into his little world for our photo playdate. Calder’s entire family was wonderful to work with, and let me into their home like we were old friends. I had a great time with them all. From checking out the garden to walking down to the local store for a snack. It was a lovely morning.

They are cute, kind and hilariousness. I loved working with them that winter on family photos last year. When Nicole called again this year to schedule a shoot with just the kids I jumped at the chance.

We caught some pretty autumn weather and leaves this year for our backdrop. I am not sure how it is possible but the kids were even cuter, sweeter and even more fun this year. We are still getting used to the whole sibling thing in our house, so I love seeing siblings have fun and be so kind to each-other.

Nicole & Gabe thanks for bringing the kids up to Newberg this year. It was great seeing you all again! Your kids are adorable, and were so good for me. They are the kind of family a photographer dreams about. Nice, funny, charming, well behaved kids, and all good looking to top it off. The rain even stopped for our session, it was amazing! The whole Gooddale family was ideal to work with, but the two giggling kiddos stole my heart. Just look at these two adorable little blond peanuts, how could you not love them! We had a great time running around their favorite park and playing in the leaves. I could have taken their photos all day long.

I first met this little dude when he was a beloved bump in his beautiful mama’s tummy, then a perfectly sweet newborn, and then last year as he was turning into toddler. Well Xander is back and bigger, brighter and even more adorable. Xander was a little spit fire for me, not stopping for a second of our session. He was also hilarious and told me stories about the ants & leaves. Not a shocker as his Mama is one of Portland’s best story tellers. He is also crazy antithetic and fast like his papa. He is one lucky boy, and very much beloved by his family. We played around the yard of their beautiful new home in SE Portland, and took a walk in the neighborhood. Again this little dude kept me running, but it was a great evening. Really with a smile like his I am happy to keep running.

Daria & Dallas thanks again for having me into your home to capture your family yet again. Your little dude is over the top adorable, and turning into such a sweet little boy. It’s yellow-ish, brings warmth, and is so pretty. OH ITS THE SUN!

It’s that time of year again when us Oregonians shed our fleece layers and venture out into the sun. Don’t over do it forget your sunscreen kids! Our family celebrated the pretty warm weather by doing a little gardening last night as you can see by the big smiles and dirty hands.

I LOVE this beautiful weather, and shooting out in it! Now is the time of year to start setting up summer portrait sessions! I have lots of fun ideas for beautiful outdoor sessions this year. If you are interested let me know asap, prime spots on the calender (weekends) will fill up fast.

She actually still graces my header some times. Well miss cute orange chair is back, and she is now a big sister! It is over the top adorable how much these two love each-other! I got to hang out with the whole family again to celebrate little sister’s first birthday. Little sis is just as adorable as her elder sister, and may even have more spunk if that is possible. Oh and sparkly eyes run in the family, I swear no photoshopping!

I had a great time seeing the whole family again and capturing the love & fun they share. We even lucked into some amazingly warm May weather!
