    creative headshots

When I am not capturing fun weddings & beautiful babies I sometimes take on commercial & head shot clients. I tend to work best with creative types, and have some great sessions in the past you can check out here if you like. One of my most recent sessions was with a wonderful former wedding client. You might remember  Sarah & Mary’s wedding at the Rose Garden & Zoo just over 2 years ago. I had so much fun working with these ladies, it was my pleasure to capture Sarah again in her most recent business pursuit. Sarah is a musical therapist specializing in special needs kids. I am in awe of the work she does, and the  love she has for her clients. We got together recently to do some promo shots for her business Notable Connections. We did some of just her for her new site, along with a few inducing a cute little client. It was fun to capture her at work. :)

Here are a few of my favorites.

Sarah thanks for hiring me to capture this next chapter in your life. It was a pleasure to work with you again, and I wish you nothing but success in your business!

We have had the pleasure of working together a few times. She does some amazing work, it really was my pleasure to capture it.

2011 best of emily g photography

As always I have been working on a year end post. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show. We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

here’s to an even better 2012!

    Petalos Portraits

One of the many wonderful things about working in the wedding industry are the people. Fellow vendors there to help make a couples dreams come true, at the best weddings we all end up working as a team. I love that, I love working in collaboration. So when one of the most talented floral designers in the area approached me about doing some new photos for her website I jumped at the chance. Stephanie of Petalos is not just a florist, she does flowers for sure, but her real talent is in event design. She can take a couples ideas and turn them into something amazing. She has an amazingly creative eye, and the warmest smile you will ever see. I had a blast shooting some of her in the studio and then around downtown Portland. We laughed, had a drink, talked about being working mamas and made some fun images.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

As I have said before I love doing “out of the box” headshots. It was my pleasure to work with you Stephanie! I am so glad we have become friends. :)

    business headshots portland oregon

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of working with a local medical group. I have done artist head-shots before, and business/group portraits too, but this was my first time working with the medical profession. The physicians with Mt Scott ENT & Sleep Medicine were wonderful to capture. The whole office was a pleasure to work with.Who knew business portraits & head-shots could be fun to do!

Here are a few of our results:

Such nice people! I am working on a new site these days and plan to add an entire section to my buiensess portrait/head shot work. If your office needs some fun updated shots let me know! I would love to help you or your office get your best look out there. :)
