She did the same thing last year in her darling NE Portland home. Well this year the family got to show me their beautiful new home just a big out from the city. You can tell darling Scarlett loves being out in the country with more room to roam. She gladly showed me her new space, her “kitchen” and some beautiful smiles.

It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show.We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

My how the time flies! For his summer time 6 month session we were outdoors in the country, so we picked the studio & some city shots for his 1 year photos. The whole family was great to work with as always. I not going to lie I am sad that his “babies first year” is officially over, these kiddos are always fun to point a camera at!

 

Here are a few of my many, many favorites so far:

Gah that little face kills me! Crissie & Dan thanks again for trekking into town for the shoot. It has been a pleasure to work with you all this year. I have loved watching your baby grown and your little girl get bigger too! Can’t wait to do this all again next year! As you know I will have the whole gallery done very soon. He was also charming, and had a great smile, but this little guy officially wins for cutest Calder. Sorry Lilly, but come on look at this little guy. He was sweet, funny and let me into his little world for our photo playdate. Calder’s entire family was wonderful to work with, and let me into their home like we were old friends. I had a great time with them all. From checking out the garden to walking down to the local store for a snack. It was a lovely morning.

They are the kind of family a photographer dreams about. Nice, funny, charming, well behaved kids, and all good looking to top it off. The rain even stopped for our session, it was amazing! The whole Gooddale family was ideal to work with, but the two giggling kiddos stole my heart. Just look at these two adorable little blond peanuts, how could you not love them! We had a great time running around their favorite park and playing in the leaves. I could have taken their photos all day long.

Due to some crazy circumstances we had to sessions. And by crazy I mean hay trucks on fire, illness and random cold weather in August. So after re-grouping we tried our session again catching one of the last warm days of the fall. And man I so happy we did! Smiling kids and the last of truck fires made it all worth the wait. :) It was my pleasure to meet the whole family grandparents included, but really the most fun was rolling around with Lucy in the fresh cut grass of Sellwood park. :)

Mom caught my photos of a friends family and wanted to capture that same sense of fun with their own kids. From the moment I arrived the love and fun in this family was evident. Brendan (the big brother) erupted with laughter every time I pointed my lens at him, and gave me a great tour of his yard and home. Wyatt was also a little lovely, shy at first but when he decided to smile he completely stole my heart. I am guessing life with these two boys keeps Mom & Dad on their toes, but laughing allot!

Carley (mom) was open to all my crazy ideas, and gave me tons of room creatively. I LOVE that in a client. She also knows quite a bit about photography as she works in the industry her self. Even with last moment location changes and crazy hot weather we had a great time walking around the  back alleys of our cute small town, talking about teething, food carts and dream jobs. I just love it when I find cool people here in Newberg!

Miss Molly is sweet, smart and over the top adorable. You can tell by her smile and personality this girl is adored by her Mommy & Daddy too. She really lucked out, Daddy’s sweet smile and Mama’s sparkly eyes, this girl is a charmer! And that hair, did I mention she might have the best baby hair since my little redhead?! Well enough of my gabbing on to the images.
