I first met Becca & Ian in the fall for their maternity session. After spending an afternoon with them talking about babies & birth I knew I liked them. I was really looking forward to working with them again so when the email came that baby girl had made her appearance I was super excited. Isla was the perfect newborn to work with. She is first of all adorable in every way. Her tiny round nose, her sweet busy feet, her full tummy and chubby legs, gah makes me (almost ha) want to have another baby. She was chill and sleepy for me, and even let out a few little smiles. It was my pleasure to point my camera at the little family

I loved seeing you all again, and most of all meeting your little lady. She is a doll. I look forward to seeing you all again soon as she gets even bigger. the best holiday gift one can get…

Sweet Cecilia was 3 weeks old when we got together for our session. Slightly older than I like for a newborn session, but this sweet little girl was perfect for me. She sleep like an angel, and even smiled for me a bit. You can tell she is very loved and comfy in her new world. Being that she was born so close to the holidays, we had to work in some festive shots. Here mom and dad clearly adore this little lady, it was my pleasure to point my camera at this little family.

Sometimes it just clicks.

A beautiful baby

A loving & sweet family

A stunning home with great light

And decor & textiles that make you swoon.

Sometimes it just clicks, and this was one of those times.

I met up with the F family to capture baby Arlo in his newborn stage. Being slightly older than my average newborn I did not know how the session would go, but man he was good for me! He is sweet, gentle and over the top adorable. The was also lucky enough to be born into a stunning Portland home filled with good art and fun textures. His room alone made me swoon. I am SO looking forward to watching Arlo grow over this year and getting to know his whole family more.

Cute little Claire

Sweet little Claire came to see me in the studio not too long ago, and was a pleasure to point my camera at. She was sweet, sleepy, curled up and above all adorable. I just love newborns, and she is the perfect example of why. Newborns don’t care about my schedule, or about posing for the camera, they just want to sleep, eat and be loved. And really isn’t that what life is really about? Sweet little Claire is a very loved little princess too. Her Mom & Dad were clearly so in love with this little lady, and I could see why.

This post makes me so, so very happy. I first met the N family to celebrate a very special little man coming into their lives. I got to capture him as a tiny guy, a bubbly baby and then when he turned one. We got to play again last year in the fall leaves when he was about to turn two. Well the N family is back and with another beautiful baby boy! I am so happy to celebrate with this family yet again with the wonderful addition to their family. Sweet baby boy was so good for me too, gah I could have taken photos of him all day.

Thanks again you guys for introducing me to your new little guy. He is absolute charmer, and seeing N again all big kills me. I am so very happy for you guys! I am excited to see your family again this year as baby W grows. Congratulations again, he is perfection.

Ahh is there anything sweeter than a precious little baby? This little lady was so lovely for me too.

She is a very loved little lady too with Mama, Daddy & Super Auntie on site to tend to her every need. Sweet Brinnin charmed me as well. Just take a look..

welcome to the world miss Molly!

Readers of my blog should find this next family very, very familiar. First we celebrated their love with an engagement session with fun socks and book, then we captured a stunning winter wedding, then just a few months ago I was capturing a growing belly. Well Charlotte & Katie are back and now there are three! Miss Molly was born this August to two beautiful Mamas that love her ever so much. Molly was so good for me, and so beautiful. I love that she got Katie’s mouth too! She is sweet, gentle and just a little spunky, she will fit right in with her house hold I am sure.

Dear Molly my name is emily, and I will be pointing this big black clicking thing at you your entire life, it’s nice to meet you.

I had the pleasure of working with Emily & Stephen just 2 years ago on their love filled, quirky & wonderful wedding. So of course when they announced they were expecting I was super excited to be asked to do their newborn photos. I really love it when I get to watch a family grow from wedding to baby and forward. Coming back to capture joy in people’s lives is why I do this. I really feel privileged to have the best clients ever! Just a few short weeks ago I got to meet mr Malcolm, and he is just as lovely as his parents! He was sweet, sleepy and perfect for me. I have to admit it was also really fun to see my wedding work up on the walls and shelves of their adorably decorated home. I had a great time capturing this new family, especially sweet little Malcolm.

perfect little parker

I am not going to lie, when I learned about his impending arrival I could not wait to meet this little guy. You might remember his mama’s from their wedding a few years back. I remember that day being filled with love and laughter, very similar to our newborn session. Parker is a very lucky little guy to have two wonderful parents that love him so much. Even with sleepless nights & recovery pain you can see the love clearly here. It really was my privilege to capture it while it was all still fresh and new.

Is it possible to fall in love with an entire family? If so the Allen family has a chunk of my heart. First there was a bump, then there was a curly haired newborn, then a toddler full of personality. Another year then a he was sweet faced little dude of 2 years, then just recently we had a 3 year old with talks of a baby sister in Mama’s tummy. Well now there are four, and the newest addition is just as sweet & feisty as her big brother. Miss Jordyn was a joy to point my camera at. The love between her and her big brother killed me too. As the mother of two that special bond is always a favorite to capture.

Julie & Vince thanks for having me down again to capture your family. I am just SO happy for you all. Your little curly haired girl is just perfection. It was great to see Mr. J in his element too.
